As the title says, I am a player looking for a game. Here's a little about me:
I'm a 32 year old male in the
middle of the US. Big fan of fantasy stuff, whether it's books, video
games, anime, or movies. I tend to be pretty easygoing and like to
think I'm pretty easy to get along with.
Experience: Been playing 5e D&D on
Roll20 for a little over two years now. Played
4e for a bit. My only experience with 3.5e was from videogames like
NWN.
System: I've been interested in trying out Pathfinder (1 or 2), so I'm interested if there's a group that's willing to help out someone new to the system. I'm willing to put in the work on my end to learn the system, I'll likely just need a group that'll be patient with me as I get familiar with the system and make the inevitable (hopefully few) missteps. That said, I'm still interested in playing more 5e if I can find a good group.
Looking For: I'm looking for a longer
campaign to join with a few others who I hope to get to know and
maybe become friends with. I'm fine with a little homebrew (hopefully
the DM can make good judgment when it comes to what to allow) and
custom campaign settings and worlds. I prefer to play as the good
guys, so I'm not looking for an evil campaign. Not really looking for
some kind of hardcore experience with death waiting around every
corner to try and bring the party to a miserable and ignoble end or a
DM vs. the players kind of game.
Combat/RP Balance: I enjoy both
aspects, so probably an even balance.
Gameplay: I've played all sorts of characters, though I've found that I tend to prefer pure casters or hybrids. I try to come up with in-depth backstories and
personalities for my characters and try my best to roleplay them
accurately. I like to find out about the world or setting so I can
try to create characters that fit in well with it. I do play female
characters from time to time.
Communication: I have Discord and a
working mic, but tend to be a bit quiet, though it gets a bit better as I get more comfortable with people. I'm not opposed to using voice to RP, it's just
that I'm not much good at talking, let alone doing voices for
characters, so don't expect much there.
Availability: Right now I'm available during the weekdays. I'm in the CST (Central US) timezone and my daylight hours (12pm-12am) are pretty much wide open.
Got any other questions? Feel free to
ask me (here or in DMs)! Thanks for reading this far. =)
