1AM The group will get back to Brooklyn after calling S.A. Bishop and letting him know about what happened in Cave City (or under it). Kismet tells PRIMUS (and the rest of the team) what she recalls from the thought transference from the Crystals. 10AM Paladin contacts Merryman of the I5 to see that has happened in the last few days with Manfred Saietta. Merryman shows up at noon with a milkshake and a Big Mac combo meal. Merryman shows Paladin a series of photos taken by Blimp showing several figures following Manfred Saietta into a hotel last Friday the 31 st of August. I5 said that the room where the meeting took place also had the hotel cater the event. They had huge appetites and very expensive tastes.   [GM NOTES: I forgot to tell the group that Merryman would inform them the room was reserved and paid for by Joseph -Joey- Manfredi, the son of Manfred Silvermane.]   Blimp took pictures of several persons of interest as they arrived at the hotel. They included Manfred Saietta (accompanied by Bruno), a black man with slicked back hair in a violet shirt (identified as Raymond ‘the Piranha’ Jones who was accompanied by a slender black man in a trench coat), the Crime Boss Hammerhead (the top of his head is as flat as a dinner plate, he was accompanied by two guys whose look screamed ‘I’m in the mob’), Vinnie ‘the Axe’ Coletti (high ranking member of the Coletti crime family who was accompanied by a couple of guys in suits), and one massive fellow in a tailored suit with skin as grey as stone (who was accompanied by a pair of women in chauffer uniforms with micro miniskirts instead of slacks). Merryman does not know what was discussed. As for what happened at the Hunting Bambi compound, nothing illegal or noteworthy. The weekend hunt took place as usual, and as usual the hunters bagged their prey, then everyone went home safe and sound.   Paladin wants I5 to keep watching Manfred Saietta, the Hunting Bambi compound and staff, and then watch the girls who work for Racks to keep track of girls who go missing. Merryman said that it would spread I5 thin and asked if he could bring in more manpower to cover all the bases. Paladin recommends Sachs and Violens, Merryman agreed to contact them.   Marvel Girl contacts her friend Marilis Kettler (a librarian friend). MG asks her what she knows about vampires. Marilis goes pale. She abandons the coffee and sandwich she’d order and tells Marley (aka Marvel Girl) to follow her. She leaves the café, grabs a taxi, and takes Marley to her house. (Her house is an apartment building not in the best section of town.) As they enter Marley asks her if she’s going to kill her. Marilis states she hasn’t decided yet. Marilis demands to know why Marley wants to know about vampires. Marilis claims she is a half vampire, on her father’s side. Her mother was human. She tells Marley that being a half-vampire is not cool. Yes, she is stronger, lives longer, and sees well at night, but needing to drink blood – occasionally sucks. Marilis tells her that there are hundreds of types of vampire as every culture has their own vampire legends. Each type has different powers every vampire and weaknesses. She related some details on Carpathian vampires, the Time Stop Vampire, Romanian Vampires, Greek Vampires, etc. She didn’t go into details on Penanggalan or other types of vampires She did mention there was a kind of vampire that had many clans included within it, some of these are the Brujah, the Malkavian, the Gangrel, Nosferatu, etc. Marilis says she can be more help if she knew more about the vampires that were hunting Marley.   Kismet checks on the Ghost Busters who were trying to exorcise the ghost who haunts her room. The school closed her dorm and has moved students to any place that had room for them, including hotels and motels. Kaitlynn Jones (aka Kismet) tells the school she has a place so she asks that her stipend be donated to help those in need. Kaitlynn talks to Sherry who tells her the ghost busters were expelled for the wild orgy they had in her room. The ghost busters say they were possessed by the ghost they were trying to exorcise. Sherry believe the ghost was ticked off that someone was trying to exorcise it and fought back. Kismet moves into her room at the ‘super secret’ Brooklyn Brigade base.   At the 6PM meeting the group fills each other in on what they have discovered. Paladin reminds Marvel Girl the group of vampires hunting him are called Raven. Constable suggests the Brigade engage in operation Helping Hand where the group stops fighting crime for a couple of weeks and focus on helping people out. This is to increase their popularity among the people so when they move to strike against the Saiettas they will have popular support. The group begins Operation Helping Hand immediately.   Monday Morning 9AM Paladin reaches out Dollar Bill, leader of the Minutemen. He proposes that the Brooklyn Brigade and the Minutemen work together in Operation Helping Hand. Dollar Bill is initially intrigued so he is invited to come to the Bunker for a meeting. Paladin then contacted Cassandra who is completely on board with Operation Helping Hand. Ivy Pearl goes to work right away on the positive press and PR campaign.   6PM Dollar Bill arrives but looks unhappy, he brings Dollar Girl who looks absolutely grim. Dollar Bill tells him that most of the Minutemen were willing but Rorschach and The Comedian refused. They believed the Brooklyn Brigade (Paladin, the Constable, and Cassandra Clemons) should be put down like the mad dogs that they are. Paladin tries to reason with him but Dollar Bill says that the Minutemen are willing, just those two refused. Dollar Bill tells the group that several police have been killed or gone missing over the last few weeks. Several have not been found but others were found mutilated. He describes one where the officer had his arms and legs broken so he could be folded up and put in a suitcase that was left in his patrol car’s trunk. Paladin is horrified, this is the first he’d heard of the murders. He suggests that the Brigade come to the Minutemen’s base, answer their questions, and get to know them better. Dollar Bill agrees and gives Paladin their address. He also says that he will find an errand for Rorschach to go on. It is The Comedian’s poker night so he won’t be around anyway. Paladin wants to know why they are so sure of the guilt of the Brigade. Dollar Bill tells them that Rorschach is impulsive and quick to judge and act. The Comedian on the other hand is ruthless but methodical in his approach so something must be guiding his prejudice. Dollar Bill tells them that Rorschach was approached by a informer who witnessed Paladin and Constable murdering three of the police. He/She/It refused to go to the police and would not go public but he/she/it was able to convince Rorschach. He convinced the informer to talk to The Comedian. The Comedian was convinced by the conversation. Paladin wanted to understand why Rorschach was so quick to condemn them on shoestring ‘evidence’. Dollar Bill tells the Brigade about the pedophile that Rorschach let go with a (violent) warning because he didn’t have enough evidence and about the 8 year old girl he’d tortured, raped, and fed to his dogs. Rorschach beat him so badly he could not move and threw him to his own dogs. After his dogs killed and ate him Rorschach killed the dogs. Police later found the girl’s bones in the dog pen and positively identified her. Rorschach no longer waited for conclusive evidence before acting.   9PM The Brooklyn Brigade comes to the Minutemen’s clock tower. Dollar Bill introduces the group to his second in command, Moloch. Moloch tells Paladin and the Constable that he needs to talk to both of them. Hooded Justice talks to Paladin. He starts off being aggressive with Paladin planning to become more soft-spoken to establish a ‘friendship’. Before he has a chance to go from angry to friendly Silhouette stole Paladin from him.   Dollar Girl talks to Kismet. Being up close it is discovered that her costume is nothing but body paint. Dollar Girl asks Kismet is she a full hero or a sidekick too? Dollar Girl tells Kismet that she is a model that was hired by the bank to increase Dollar Bill’s sex appeal but Dollar Bill trains her. Dollar Girl tells Kismet she should rescue Paladin from Hooded Justice and Silhouette. The Minutemen have a bet on which one would be able to bed Paladin first. Kismet said that Paladin was a big boy and could take care of himself. She then put $25 on Silhouette. Kismet says she was a model for a bit while she was going undercover at Racks. Dollar Girl asked why. When she learned that Brooklyn Brigade was investigating the Saietta she suggests Kismet talk to Captain Metropolis. He knows a frightening amount of information about the Saietta family.   Moloch tells the Constable he needs to control his anger and that pummeling teenagers was not a good idea. Constable grew annoyed with Moloch telling him that the ‘child’ attacked him mentally. Moloch pointed out that there was no evidence of that and constable grew more angry as they discussed the subject. Moloch ended the conversation by walking away.   Captain Metropolis talked to Marvel Girl. It started off light-heartedly enough with him asking if Constable really had an off switch but quickly dovetailed into him asking about what happened with the teen Constable killed. Marvel Girl told him in detail as to what happened according to her memory. The tale climaxed with her saying Constable barged into the Saietta family home and threatened Francisco before he was allegedly attacked by the ‘dangerous’ mentalist.   Silhouette asked Paladin out. He answered that time and duty permitting he would not object. She tried to set a time and date for dinner and drinks for 7 PM the following Friday. Paladin repeats that it depends on time and duty, that he had no idea what he would be doing or where he would be Friday. She withdraws the invitation but places her hands on his shoulders and kisses his cheek. Silk Specter (the 19 year old member of the Minutemen) gives Dollar Girl $5 after seeing the kiss.   Kismet goes to talk to Captain Metropolis as the session ends, the conversation is to be handled via email between game sessions. Of course he is willing to listen. He is always happy to help fledgling heroes. She will lay out everything she can remember about Racks, the Bambi Hunts, the missing women (names, ect) and their sudden cessation of social media and physical appearances, how the Saetas are involved somehow with both places, Mannfried's odd powers overcoming even her resistances given time, and the tale of the tooth and how they linked it to the Bambi event and to Racks If he's interested, she'll also explain to him about the Underworld races/nations and how some are planning something reckless. She'll also see if he knows anything about getting rid of pervert ghosts, or if he can recommend someone not a 'ghostbuster'... :D That is quite the list. 1)        He is aware of Racks. Manfred is, according to his investigations, is the Don of the Saietta crime family. The Saietta family runs a lot of vice crimes but also has a booming business in blackmail and extortion. As odd as it may C.M.’s informants say Manfred has been in charge of the family forever. Senior citizens who claim to know say that he was running numbers back in the late 1930s and 40s. 2)        Rumors abound about the Saiettas having powers but they are just rumors. 3)        He does not believe there is a connection between Hunting Bambi and the crime family. He thinks that misogynists can evolve independently. 4)        Women and girls vanish all the time in New York. In fact nearly 40 people disappear without a trace in the city every day! Girls vanishing from Racks is something he is passingly familiar with. Less often are males vanishing from Racks has also been reported. The problem is that Racks is ‘protected’. Many police, city officials, county and state office holders are all customers of the ‘restaurant’. He does not know if Manfred is blackmailing them, Mind controlling them, or if the movers and shakers are there of their own accord. 5)        Manfred runs his criminal empire from his favorite nightclub. Similar to Racks females are not dressed there. The place is called the Den. Female customers get a locker for their street clothes and a cloth pouch worn around the neck for their money, identification, etc. Female staff just go without. 6)        The meeting at the hotel was not called by Manfred Saietta. It was called by Manfred Silvermane. The reason for the gathering is the people who attended are suspected in the burning down of Silvermane’s Park Avenue home. The Commission (the crime council that keeps the peace in the city) permitted the meeting of these crime figures to address the arson and recompense for it. 7)        No clue about the ghost problem, he would suggest talking to Moloch (The Minutemen’s second in command). He is a occultist and a spell caster. She won't have much to say about the death of the Saeta kid, since she was separated from the group and trying to stay undercover at the time. She wasn't there. She does consider Crusader to be be an arrogant hothead but will only mention that if it comes up. Oh, it will come up. She also believes that the rest of his Family would gladly take advantage of or even fake his death to manipulate public opinion. Yes, the Saiettas would take any advantage they can get.
