I have talked about guilds before how they were established for various merchants and craftsmen.   Let's talk a moment about adventuring guilds. There are none. Well that was fast.  Time to go home. Seriously, there are no adventuring guilds.  I could not find anything historically that really went along with the idea.   The closest thing I found was mercenary guilds.   Yes, the do exist.    But mercenary guilds are more for hiring soldiers for large and small military campaigns.    They also would be hired to protect caravans, expeditions and other things that required a military presence.  Players can join such if they want to look for such work. Then there are the Hunter Warriors.   To become a Hunter Warrior, a character must be at least 10th level.   Each major city has a guild hall dedicated to the Hunter Warriors, they are an exclusive bunch.   They are sanctioned bounty hunters of the crown.  When there are those that the local authorities can not handle, then a bounty is sent out.   Soon a Hunter Warrior will accept the bounty and the problem is solved in a very expedient fashion.   The bounties are payable Dead or Alive, though returning the said suspects alive pays a higher bounty and does not create as many questions. Each Hunter Warrior is given a tabard with the in the colors of the Hunter Warrior guild to clearly mark them as such.  This helps distinguish a Hunter Warrior that is currently working.
