voice changer software

Hello everyone, I'm starting online campaigns and I would have liked to know if you have free software to modify the voice in order to simulate the voice of NPCs or monsters during a session on roll20.  Thanks for your help !

Hi Velledin, Unfortunately, there is nothing like that built into Roll20. You might look into bringing up the topic on something like r/roll20 (which is a bit more loose in terms of focus),  /r/rpg , or maybe even  /r/gamemasters . The forums here are pretty dedicated to Roll20-specific help.

Velledin, yes, there is such. One such software that I've seen used with Roll20 was called Clownfish, or something like that. I didn't use it, but the GM did. He could make a low ogre voice, or a high squeeky pixie sprite voice.

No need to delete, you're good. :) If it did need deletion, a moderator would handle it. Just letting you know as a newer user. The Roll20 forums try to be pretty tightly focussed on Roll20 and discourage things like rules discussion, hardware or software recommendations unless they directly relate to Roll20, that sort of thing. That's why I answered the way I did: "nothing native to Roll20". There's also a discord attached to r/roll20 that is more lax on topics. I think there's a link on the Reddit page. Many of the folks here are on there (myself included), and we like to help.

What I can recommend that works with anything where you can choose your audio input device (so including R20) is Voicemod Pro. The free version will give you a good idea of its capabilities and the one-time-purchase fee is a ridiculous $15. The absolute best investment I ever made for RPGs, hands down. It's reasonably powerful and has a lot of presets as well as a solid community that can help you build new stuff in their Discord. Hope that helps!
I'll add a vote to Voicemod (although I haven't used Clownfish so it's a touch one-sided). I use it for a couple of games and it works nicely... the expression on the players faces the first time I did it was priceless. That said... while there are many many effects built-in... some of them seem pretty cheesy so that I tend to only really use a dozen or so.
