Still reeling from the encounter with Lord Volmer and his minions, Halle , Naivara , and Titus had a tense evening of rest. Titus meditated through the night and received a vision from Torm , of his mother arguing with Ontharr Frume . It ended with her storming off, at which point Ontharr pointed at her polearm and said "I hope it was worth it!" In the morning the three decided they would split up since the wyvrens and Aquila allowed them to cover distance quickly. Naivara agreed to continue to head south to Boareskyr Bridge , where she would begin the search for leads on Varram the White . Halle and Titus would travel north to meet up with Rhogar and Varis , but from there Titus would continue north to Waterdeep and warn his sister Livia of the threat Lord Volmer warned them about. Titus' Journey: Titus arrived in Waterdeep and spent a day insisting the priests of Lathander to allow him to meet with Livia. When she arrived Titus told her what he learned from the demon. She dismissed his worries and insisted that the demon was tricking him. Before he left her he made her promise she would seek help from Ontharr Frume if she felt her life was in danger. Titus tried to find Ontharr Frume but learned he was away to escort Ambassador Brawnanvil to Waterdeep for the second council. He left a message and entrusted it to one of the other members of the Order of the Gauntlet to deliver to the man as fast as possible. Before leaving Waterdeep the next morning, Titus returned to the temple of Lathander and threatened some of the priests who had retrieved Livia. He then flew south to re-join with the others. Halle, Rhogar, and Varis' Journey: Halle rejoined the duo as they drove the prisoner carriage south to Boareskyr Bridge. Over the several day journey they saw wreckage of travelers and caravans who refused to pay the Cult's new travel toll. The three discussed the Yajerit clan and the possibility more of them may be alive, as implied by Lord Volmer. With Halle and his wyvren Pelecta able to scout from the skies, Rhogar and Varis increased their travel pace with little concern for ambush. Titus rejoined with them shortly before reaching Boareskyr Bridge. Naivara' Journey: Naivara arrived in Boareskyr Bridge and was immediately challenged by Eltrugard Paladins, due to her arrival on a dragon-like creature. She smoothed that over and managed to convince a couple stablehands to care for her wyvren Aráto while she conducted her business in the mostly tent and wagon city. Over the week she was there she integrated herself as a popular performer at Bolo's Tentside Inn , met up with a Harper contact, and convinced the Halfling Bolo to import mead and other products from the Snobeedle Orchard and Meadery in Waterdeep. Naivara learned Varram the White was considered something of a local hero here for discovering and slaying a Yuan-Ti spy from Najara . Varram and his entourage of Dwarves and Barbarian mercenaries quickly headed out into the Serpent Hills after that, no doubt to slay more of the "scaled folk." The group finally reunited in Boareskyr Bridge nearly two weeks after first separating back at Waterdeep. The night was spent in revelry and some loud tomfoolery at Bolo's as the group shared their journeys and information. In the morning they left the prisoner carriage at Boareskyr Bridge in the care of the well-paid stablehands and headed out into the Serpent Hills to follow after Varram. The trail was easy to pick up and follow due to the haste with which the cultists had traveled. A chance encounter with a trio of hapless hill giants greeted the group upon their entry into the Serpent Hills - an encounter which quickly turned very unfortunate for the giants. At game start it is 19 Nightal in the Year of the Warrior Princess .
