Welp never got reply about Arcknight tokens

And they keep updating old tokens with new palette I don't like :'D I don't really like this "stuff I bought gets replaced by different thing" thing <_<;

Did you try a direct PM to the artist? https://app.roll20.net/users/488894/arcknight

Kraynic has the right approach. Roll20 doesn't control the content of Marketplace purchases, other than ensuring certain standards are met.

Roll20 Team could answer JJL about his purchase though. I've seen him asking this understandable, valid Roll20 Marketplace question on the official Forum here since a long time ago. Roll20 controlled accepting his payment, right. keithcurtis said: Roll20 doesn't control the content of Marketplace purchases, other than ensuring certain standards are met.
I did send email but I guess I could try sending pm too to arcknight <_< But not too hopeful if email doesn't get answer(and as said, it is roll20's thing too due to payment related stuff)
Hey JLL, Apologies for the frustration, though it's quite understandable given the circumstances. If you'd like, we could offer you a refund on the item in question. Please write in to us here and we'll get you squared away.

Apologies. I didn't mean my answer to be a closer. I should have mentioned that a refund was certainly an option.
Sent the pm to the artist, so gonna wait for another day before doing refunds This currently applies to three token packs from Arcknight, but if they keep updating the old ones, then the fourth token pack might be eventually affected by this too :'D But yeah, do I send individual refund request for each of them if this doesn't get solved or do I include every token pack in same request?

It takes Roll20 cooperation, but you can absolutely pull a set, edit, and re-publish. I did it when I discovered an issue with one of my token marker sets. But Roll20 had nothing to do with the content , only the availability and possibly standards of said content. They didn't tell me to change red for blue, for instance but they might have held it back if they were below the acceptable resolution standards.

We are able to change previously submitted content with a request made to Roll20. But any changes are decided upon and made by the marketplace creator, so long as said changes meet the quality and technical requirements. However, I didn’t know that our customers receive news of the update. That’s interesting. 😀 Tiffany M. said: keithcurtis said: Kraynic has the right approach. No news / notification or announcement is sent out for this. (The exception is MODULE products that get updated, those do display a notification on your Game Details page... Art packs, Map packs, Token packs, do not). But in the case of the ArcKnight changes, it's plainly visible to see the changes for a user like JJL, for changes as extreme as this. It's a visual change, that you can visually notice (easily) on any token that you've used before, from that set. The tokens used to drag-and-drop at a certain color saturation appearance. Now when you drop the same monster token as before, the new ones look almost Neon in comparison (much more bright, more saturated color, and much higher contrast from highlights to shadows). Same monster, same shape, same token, same name, but it looks more like a Neon Rainbow Parrot in coloration. It's quite a stark difference, when you're accustomed to seeing that monster set-against your map backgrounds, and then now suddenly you see the same monster, but with a lot more POP to the brightness. Something odd I observed while going through all the packs for making the refund request: https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/set/1878/arcknight-tokens-ancient-evils and https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/set/2064/arcknight-tokens-underground Are the ones with got really garish bright recolor. This https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/set/2070/arcknight-tokens-ancient-evils-horde Did get a recolor, but its much more subtle and would be harder to notice if not for promo image having old darker colors. I actually kinda like this one even if I did like the old darker color bit better. But yeah this is the really weird part: https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/set/1165/arcknight-tokens-mankind This token pack didn't get updated despite it no longer being available at the marketplace. https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/set/7341/arcknight-tokens-mankind And there DOES exist new updated version with the said garish bright recolors <_< ...I have no idea what happened here besides that it appears to be some sort of error that works in my advantage as I like the old coloration better :P

Arcknight also produces/sells physical printed minis of the same token-art. (Off Roll20, see Arcknight's own site). Makes me wonder if the re-coloration was meant for making the Printed ones come out looking good, trying to standardize and match the appearances (which seems wholly unnecessary for the digital token packs, which looked good in the first place). I've worked in the past, quite a bit with taking digital coloration to print (vehicle wraps, billboards, signage, magazines, newspaper, catalogs), dealing with color variance, color correction, color calibration on monitors & printers. This really looks like someone got a new monitor, or moved their computer into a brighter or darker room, or batch-converted to color-profiles meant for print. I don't think that a professional artist like Arcknight would really have intended to make the Roll20 VTT token packs more inconsistent across the line by modding a set to what visually acute consumers have called "garish" and "neon". It seems more like an attempt to add consistency, that went wrong, for which the artist should be notified. Here's hoping Arcnight decides to roll-back the pack (especially that first linked one) to what it was.
Woo! Got the reply :)
