LFG DnD 5e with intentions to play until level 20 or close to it

Hello, one of my biggest gripes with roll20 group finder is that you never know what level the campaign intends to end at. Yes, of course you can look up the module, but some DMs add homebrew or shorten parts they don't like etc. I personally would like to play a game up to max level or at least to level 16. Wouldn't mind if it started as a module that continued with using homebrew or a straight up homebrewed campaign. A little about myself 33/M/Chicago - Jason - Married - 3 Kids under the age of 4(no more pls)  Played only 3 campaigns so far ending at levels 3, 4, and one currently at level 6 where I am enjoying a flavorless Human Variant Champion Fighter, but my first swing turn at level 6 did 107 damage, so there's that! I am looking to play a Druid, Warlock, or Sorc/Mage. I have a backup rogue started already at level 3, but after playing a martial class my first 3 games I'd like to branch out. Baldur's Gate 3 got me experimenting with some builds, albeit I know it's not exactly the same.  I am a very jocular person, I make jokes when appropriate and appropriate for my audience. I prefer combat oriented campaigns, but that does not mean that I don't participate in RP or discussions. I understand their importance and necessity, but find it not as fun as rolling dice. More or less prefer 1 combat a session at least if able. My current DM saw that we were about to end a session without one and found a way to shrink me down to where an ant was twice my size so I could 1v1 it real quick. Wasn't necessary, but it definitely showed me that he cared that I was having fun enough to give me 2 rounds to roll some dice.  I try my hardest not to meta game and do a pretty good job of it, and the only thing I truly care about is just having open minded chill people to play with. I am newer, but I have a great memory, take notes, and I am an avid researcher when it comes to mechanics and things i don't understand or have experienced before. Excluding modules/lore or anything game ruining obviously.  Internet game obviously, I have a working mic but no webcam Last but not least, I need a game that will start sometime between 10:30PM CST and midnight any day but Friday in order to have 100% attendance. Otherwise, once COVID is over there are no guarantees, but should be able to work my schedule around anything since I am a waiter. So my secondary timeslot would be anything that started between 6PM and Midnight CST Tues, Thur, or Sat. There were the nights i didn't work before COVID shut down restaurants in IL and should be able to continue with that schedule.  Anyways, thank you for your time and consideration and I hope to find not only a new group to play with, but some people I can soon consider as new friends. (I mean you'd kinda have to like the people you play with to reach max level and put that kinda time and effort in.)
The Bright Dawn Guild is looking for new members to join their ranks. We're a PG 13 West Marches style server running many games at different hours providing high flexibility so that you can find the game that suits your schedule. Come join us and see what we're about. Drop me a message to get the discord link. Cheers! Batdaf#2045
I will reach out if I can't find a set group, but I don't know enough about West Marches style and from what I've read it has plenty of pros but for me I like having the same group of people week in and week out. To the point where when our Wizard misses 1 out of every 3 or 4 sessions we still are able to play him true to his character while hes gone because there was a relationship built and we have learned his tendencies to the point where it doesn't take away from the game as much as it should. West Marches, for me personally, is like a last ditch effort to get something going that feels like theirs no commitment and I like the commitment aspect of DnD. Also beggars can't be choosers i know, lol. But i currently have a 5 hour session every Friday that I am enjoying and don't mind taking weeks if not months to find a group that has similar mindset of reaching into the high teens.
The great pro is the flexibility as you have games going on daily and a community of many players to pool parties from. If you want to play with the same small group every session then that would be harder until you reach higher levels. Either way I hope you find what you're looking for. Cheers and happy DnDing!
Thank you you as well, I just really like the dynamic of DnD that revolves around building relationships/bonds with the people you play with. I might be more inclined to save my own skin than someone else if I barely know them ;). Well my character that is.
