How do I create a character and join him to the party

Hello. I am very new to the role-playing world and have basically no idea how to do things so please bear with me :) Rather recently I joined a group of experienced D&D players and we are having a session sometime next week. The DM asked me to send him a character (or join the game with the character? I dont know). So my questions is as follows: How do I create a character. I am interested in a place to do that not in the technicalities (like stats, race etc. as I already know that). So can someone please guide me to a place where I can do that? You might want to clarify with your DM.&nbsp; For example, I use DnDBeyond and the Beyond20 Chrome extension with my players, so they don't have to do anything in Roll20 for their characters.&nbsp; However, assuming your DM is using Roll20 exclusively, you'll want to know which Character Sheet s/he is using for the game.
