Author's note: Unfortunately, my notes for this game were lost so I am going by memory and pre-made notes on the game. Players please add in the comments anything I have left out. Sorry! After searching the room the Adventurers returned to the mine shaft and continued further into the mines in search of the bodies from the campsite. They come to a junction with a shaft leading off to the right and one ahead. To their right was a closed door which they decided they should check out. Jett led the way and opened the door to the room using his daarkvision to see into the darkened room beyond. As he peered inside, he saw numerous mounds of a green gooey substance on the floor of the room, though nothing else could be seen. Deciding that the room was not worth entering, he shut the door and notified the others of what he had seen. They continued along the shaft that lead ahead, passing by a second shaft that led off to the left of their travel as they saw another door on their right a little further on. Again, Jett lead the team to the door and opened it where his darkvision allowed him to see a singular chest on the far side of the room. Using his rogues stealth trait he silently entered the room and made his way across to the chest. However, as he bent down to try and pick the lock on the chest the passive perception of three Ankhegs alerted them to his presence. Within seconds, Jett heard the sound of scittering chitin as the Ankhegs began to rush thier way down the walls toward him. Bolting for the door, Jett called out to the others of the monsters and told Catsi to quickly shut the door behind him. With a crit roll to total 22, Catsi was easily able slam the door shut in the face of the lead Ankheg. As the players discussed what to do, Catsi suggested that she slightly open the door to allow one monster out at a time which would allow them the advantage to defeat them easily. The team agreed and rolls were made; however, due to a lower roll a second Ankheg managed to writhe its way out the door along with the first. Taken by surprise, the first Ankheg was quickly dispatched, with a crit roll from Tados and heavy hits from Jett and Bardryn, while the second one ran up the wall and out of melee range where it used its acid spit ability to launch a 30ft spray of acid over Jett, Tados and Bardryn who were still gathered together around the fallen Ankheg. On her turn Catsi called for Bardryn to take over the door while she ran toward the Ankheg on the wall and made a leaping jump to grab onto the wall next to the Ankheg where she used her ball and chain to grapple it. However, as Bardryn was taking over the door the third Ankheg barged against the door and forced its way out, rolling a greater strength than Bardryn. This Ankheg ran along the opposite wall to the second one, dividing the Adventurers' attention. As the players fought the Ankhegs they wisely spread out making it harder for the monsters to make multiple hits on them, while Catsi used her grapple to force the second Ankheg off the wall, rolling a high acrobatic roll to ride on its back as it fell. In short time, the players eliminated the remaining Ankhegs after which Jett rolled a high medicine roll to extrude four vials of acid from the Ankhegs for his use. The party follow the shaft as it proceeds to the left and after forty feet they see a light emanate from the hidden side of a corner where the shaft bends left. Using his stealth trait again, Jett advances ahead where he sees four Goblins standing around complaining to each other about being stuck in the shafts and not receiving the meat they had been promised by their bosses. Using this information, Jett makes himself known and with the benefit of a high persuasion roll is able to talk with the Goblins and convince them to make an agreement with him where he gives them good meat in return for information about thier bosses, and to let them live if they leave the mine shafts. The Goblins agree and tell him that thier bosses are two large rock trolls that promised them good meat in return for their aide in gathering human bodies and patrolling the mine shafts but they never did get any good meat, only patrially rotted meat. On Jett's encouragement, Catsi reluctantly hands over her slithers of bacon she got from Lilleth in Ensburn, only just managing to hold onto her rage at not killing these Goblins. The Goblins eat the meat and keep their promise, running off into the darkness of the mine shafts, not to be seen again. The party discuss their options and agree to return to the campsite to take a rest before potientially running into the rock trolls. Back at the campsite, a short rest is had after which Catsi decides to quickly fashion a net from the ropes she finds in the wagon at the campsite into which she ties a number of torches with the intent to throw the net with lit torches over the rock troll. However, with a very low intelligence roll the net is crudely made and very flimsy. As she does this Jett finds a bag of explosive powder and makes four vials into makeshift dynamite bombs. On their way back to the mine shafts, Catsi takes the bag of explosive powder with her. Returning to the shafts, they make their way back to where they saw the Goblins. As they pause at the junction and discuss where to go, Tados sees a large silhouette of a creature making its way toward them through the darkness of the shaft. Catsi drops the bag of explosive powderin the middle of the junction, hoping that the creature sees it. As the creature advances on their position they notice it is a large rock troll of grey colour with green moss and ivy hair. The troll does notice the bag and goes to investigate it, at which time Jett lights one of his makeshift bombs and with a very high DEX roll is able to lob the bomb at the feet of the troll. As the bomb explodes in the face of the troll, it also sets off the bag of explosive powder which explodes further into the troll sending flame over the trolls face and torso, the force of the explosion knocking the troll onto her back prone as she tries to extinguish the flames. Seeing that the troll appears vulnerable to the flame, and using the prone position to their advantage, the party begin to light torches and further burn the troll before she is able to right herself. On her turn the troll does manage to get up and make an attack with a crit roll on Jett, but she is far too hurt to be able to resist the party's ongoing attack and with her final breath yells out in giant speech a single word that echoes through the shafts. With the female troll defeated, Catsi runs up and with a high strength roll manages to cut off the head of the troll and hold it abover herself, bathing in the remaining blood that drips from the head. The party then regroup at the junction and spread out to watch for the second troll that was sure to come, Catsi watching the shaft to the right, Jett the shaft to south and Bardryn and Tados the shaft to the left. After a minute or two, Bardryn and Tados run into the shaft where Jett is shouting that the other rock troll is hot on their heels. As he moves further into the shaft with the dwarf and tiefling, Jett leaves two of his remaining three makeshift dynamite at the body of the female troll with the hope of once again being able to throw his last makeshift bomb on them as the second troll passes. While this is happening, Catsi - hearing Bardryn and Tados - ducks around the rock wall for cover from sight of the troll. As he sees the troll enter the shaft, Jett watches as it nears the body of its fallen partner and stops next to it. The troll bends down to inspect the remains at which time Jett throws his last bomb in the direction of the troll. Luckily for Jett, a very high DEX roll made this possible and the episode ends with the three makeshift bombs explode in the face of the male rock troll seinding it plummeting backward and prone on its back.
