Updated Dynamic Lighting. ctrl+L Issue

I want to start out by saying I have already visited this thread stating the following: " CTRL-L doesn't work properly for GMs; If Enforce Line of Sight is off, one token will not see the other token's light source, even if they are unobstructed. This only affects GMs, however; the player can see the other token. GMs using CTRL-L will see all tokens, even if they do not have "All Players See Light" enabled, and will also see the full range of vision, blocked only by Dynamic Lighting (see Known Issue directly above this one.)" https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/7368015/advanced-fog-of-war-feedback-thread-2-dot-0/?pageforid=7368017#post-7368017 This does NOT solve the problem I am having. I am the Dungeon Master. I am wanting to use ctrl+L to see ONLY what the token I have selected can see. What ctrl+L does, is show the DM the combined vision of every single token that has vision on the map at the same time. What I want, is a mechanic that allows me to see ONLY one token's vision at a time. I thought this is what ctrl+L used to do, but since the updated dynamic lightning has happened, this has seemingly changed. I mainly want to use this mechanic to check my NPC's line of sight and my PC's line of sight during battle. I am unable to do this because when I select a token and ctrl+L, it will show me EVERY token's line of ight combined, essentially creating a fully lit room. This cannot be solved by turning on Daylight mode because I am running the Undermountain. Daylight does not exist in my campaign, so that solution is not valid here. I feel like I have tried everything and searched everywhere and have found no solution to this issue yet. Please let me know if there is some work around to this.

This has actually been discussed many times in the UDL feedback thread. Ctrl-L is for Line of Sight solutions, not giving a full dynamic lightning view. Unfortunately, this is currently broken on UDL, giving the results you have described. For checking a DL setup, the best solution is to use a Dummy Account . For doing it in the course of a game, your options are limited. If you don't mind the hassle of keeping a Dummy Account active in the middle of a session, you can use token mod to assign control of any selected token to the Dummy Account and see what that token sees exactly and precisely in a second window. This updates live and is pretty darn accurate. I use this method for checking a DL setup before the game, but there is nothing to keep a gm from using it in play. The only other alternative is to forgo UDL until it is ready (it is still very buggy), and use LDL. Ctrl-L works much closer to what you need, and the experience is usually much less problematic.
Thanks for the feedback Keith as usual. It is unfortunate as we DMs want to be able to also see torches and lights so we know what a player is actually seeing. I hope this issue is fixed asap because we do love our darkness. :)

How do I use only the LDL. I had my games all set up the way I wanted them and about two weeks ago everything went pair shaped out of the blue. I was suddenly unable to use CTRL L to see what my players saw. As a GM I was blindsided and didn't have any idea what was going on. It interrupted a pay to play game I have been running for almost a year now. I want my player to have a good time. Not spend their time complaining to me about how things are not working right. I would love to go back to the way it was before Roll20 did the updates. And running a dummy account sounds like yet another hoop for me to jump through that wasn't there just a few weeks ago. I hope I didn't come off too harsh I am a huge supporter of Roll20 and know that growing pains are just a part of growing bigger and better.. Thanks for listening and I look forward to your response.

Do the same with the tokens. Since you are Pro, you can set up token mod commands to automate much of the token conversion. Or am I misunderstanding the question?
