Changing user color

I have been having an issue with changing my user color in my games.  My user color blends into the backgrounds and no one can see my pings or lines.  It has gotten extremely frustrating.  I have ensured that I have the latest version of google chrome, I have cleared my cache, I have only browser add-ons that ensure my computer security (Web of trust, adware blocker) or allow me to use my DNDBeyond character sheets (Beyond20).  I did turn all these off and still was unable to change my user color so obviously these are not the issue.  So besides doing these three things, what would you suggest I do to fix this issue?  And no, I do not wish to switch to another internet browser.  I prefer google and have had issues with both firefox and internet explorer.  

Have you tried launching Roll20 in an Incognito browser session?

Can you give more details about how you cannot change your color? For example, do you not see the color picker? Or do you pick a color, but it does not take effect?

You could try another browser to change your color, then resume using Chrome for regular gaming.

When I try to click on the little color box next to my user image and name in a roll20 game, I don't get anything.  No options, nothing.  I will attempt the incognito thing.  That may work.  I've never tried that.

So, I opened an incognito window and the same thing.  When I click on the little colored square next to my user name and image, no option to change color comes up at all.  

One of my games, my user color is preset to a pale gray color and the DM has been using pale colored maps.  Everyone is frustrated because they can't see my pings or the lines when I use the measuring tool.  I have to count grid squares to indicate where I am targeting.  

Can the Gamemaster change your color?

I will have to ask.  The game I DM in is the only one in which I can change my user color.

Do you get the hex value textbox at the bottom of the color picker? Can you enter a new color in there? (Say, #FF0000 for red)

I get nothing.  No hex value, no pop up box with color options.  Nothing.  I left click on the color box next to my name and get nothing.  I right click and get the normal right click menu that you get that says things like: back,cut, paste, etc.

GM cannot change a Player's color in the player's color-picker. Player themself has to. (Answering Martijn).

It's a left-click needed here on this color picker, just to confirm that for Nancy GA.
