so more interested than I thought, I'll be reading through everything and will try and finalize a group by this coming Sunday 11/29/20 so everyone will have a week notice so can make sure schedule is clear. First session will be a 0 session to make sure everyone is a good fit and build characters. To answer source book questions, if it's published, we'll allow it. If something ends up being to powerful, we may nerf it a bit. As for table rules, I think they're pretty standard, but here is my list; Session 0: On 12/6/2020 will be dedicated to
making your characters and a general meet and greet. We'll cover some
functionalities of Roll20 so that everyone is familiar with the
system as well. This will be by far the shortest of the sessions most
likely since once we start the campaign we'll do 3-4 hour sessions
depending on the groups pace through the material and if someone gets
to tired.
Table Rules:
Everyone is welcome! This is a fun
game and meant for everyone to enjoy. No matter who you are, as long
as you are respectful of others and don't degrade your fellow
players, you are welcome at my table
While we will follow the rules of
the game, rules are made to be bent in order to make the game more
enjoyable. If you can role play something well enough, there's a
chance it will be allowed. (or at least allowed to try it)
Stay Attentive! If it's not your
turn, listen to what is going on so we don't have to recap
constantly. Think about what you want to do on your turn as well.
Try, I say try since it's hard at
times, to not Meta-game. Although you know what is being said, your
character may not. If you get called out on it, just adapt, it'll be
fine.
If you need to ask a question out
of character, make sure to say it's out of character. We'll want to
keep this to a minimum, but I understand there will be times you'll
need to ask questions.
There will be some homebrew mixed
in or modification to existing monsters, such as HP, AC or damage,
depending on the situation or # players who are there.
Absent players will not obtain
experience for the missed time.
Players can die and sometimes
will. If your character dies, we'll need to re roll a new one. It's
not exciting if there isn't some stakes. With that said, I will not
purposely kill your character.
No PvP will be allowed. It can
lead to bullying or ruining the fun of others. See rule 1
if your posting after this, don't be dismayed! I'm looking for 5-6 players that are a good rounded group.
