Issues with dynamic lighting and CTRL + L

I'm not sure what is going on, but when I press CTRL + L, as a DM, while I can see what the character can see in terms of line of sight, it no longer takes the dynamic lighting of a scene into account. As such, I can no longer tell what a player can see based on their visibility. Is this a bug? Thanks!
