Who are we? Alex (27): 5 yrs experience (~4 yrs D&D5e on Roll20) Mostly as a GM. ( Roll20 - Discord: Aetherwulf#0045) Greg (38): 5 yrs experience (~4 yrs D&D5e on Roll20) Mostly as a PC. ( Roll20 - Discord: Rukkus#5021) The two of us synergize quite well in the games we’ve played in but we almost never get to both play PCs at the same time. We’ve decided that we want to play in a campaign together, for more than a 1 shot, and this is why we’re applying to this game together in one application. We’re both US, Eastern and looking for a game for either Monday or Tuesday in the ballpark of 7:00pm. We’re well versed in all things 5e and are technologically savvy. We both have clear audio and are often over prepared for game night. We’re looking for a game with experienced players or with people who will catch on quickly so as to not bog the game down so that we might focus on having fun rather than the mundanities. We both have a pool of character concepts that we’ve always wanted to play but, for one reason or another, haven’t yet had the opportunity to. As it’s customary for a lot of LFGs to ask for a character concept for a campaign so we’ve selected a few that we think would be fun to play. However we both prefer to fulfil party gaps and are both capable of playing any class/role and often create new characters to satisfy the requirements at hand. That said; these are a few of the character combinations we’ve drummed up in the recent past that we feel would make for fun and interesting play -if applicable-. Vulgar Omen: Yaldrog Brinefuy - Dwarven Zealot, Barbarian: A living Tsunami. Stabbed in the back during a mutiny and kicked into “The Drink”. He later woke in a shallow grave, and an elderly priest hovering over him with a fly catching expression on his face. Brinefury believes with every fiber of his being that The Bitch Queen, Umberlee, has chosen him as her champion. And he’s not afraid who fucking knows it. He’s a proud and stubborn Dwarven Profiteer who is extremely objective oriented. When asked which way they should go the obvious answer is “Forward!”. His short term goal is to find the Mutineers who stole ‘The Sable Lady’ and show them the meaning of their failure in killing him. Basmath Muut - Human Death Domain, Cleric: Decrepit, though still capable due to his former military experiences, he’s already moved his share of crates, in his day, and often uses his extreme age to his advantage when it comes to avoiding such tasks. He was a soldier in his youth but after a short stint of alcoholism he spent the latter years of his life working as a funeral director where he found Jergal and his existential nihilism. His old ways eventually lost fashion and as he ran out of coin, he unloaded his obligations and took off on a pilgrimage where he happened upon Brinefury in a tangled mess upon the coast. Upon Brinefury rising from the shallow grave that had been prepared for him, Basmath has been pursuing this vulgar, yet obvious, omen to this day. Scholastic Bungle: Acerion “Ace” Lunaris - Half-Elf Scribes, Wizard: Prodigious Arcane college dropout. Seeking eight magic tomes of power(one per school) called ‘Libri ex antiquis magicka’ that he discovered in the forbidden section of the Library. After flunking out and being kicked to the streets, to keep him and his sister fed, he joined on with a travelling circus troupe as a parlor magician. In recent years, he’s used this front to travel the world and operate as a fence for magic items and information gathering on the tomes. He often finds himself disappointed with the fruitlessness of this task. The only solace he finds on this quest is at the bottom of a bottle. Pyrus “Py” Ward - Human Evocation, Wizard: Py’s received his overly-appropriate name not due to circumstance, but to the credit of his father who idolized Mages and named his son as such. Unbeknownst to him, Py was the shining hope for the family to gain notoriety and bring them out of poverty. His parents spent every coin they could muster on his education. But what’s wished for, isn’t often granted, and as such; Py graduated bottom of his class. He’s become a wizard of unwanted obligation and he fits the bill. Upon graduating he went to his “Direction Advocate” who dismissively and half-seriously suggested that he join the circus troupe that was in town with the hopes that Py would quickly leave so the gentleman could finish his lunch undisturbed. Py, trusting the establishment, did just that and with his rudimentary skills he was accepted. Although he didn’t quite fit in with the others, one took pity on him and befriended him. Py and Ace would become brothers of circumstance and eventually good friends as they travelled the land making their failed lives together. Dim Tyrants: The “Barlow Boys” are a huge group of half brothers who all share a father. It’s quite rare for two or more of the children to share a common mother and most of them have yet to meet one another. Being a seafaring man, most Barlows can be found all along coastal towns and cities. No one knows exactly how many children there are and just when you think you’ve met them all, you’re bound to encounter one you’ve never met. No one has seen Papa in the past few years and most assume the sea had finally taken him. Regardless of what any of his children think of his current situation, they all hold him in high regard; most idolizing him as the greatest man who ever lived. Floyd “The Void” Barlow - Human Fighter/Barbarian, Grappler: Floyd is precisely as dumb as he is strong and his strength is unmatched. With these two attributes, he’s become a prized crewmate and thanks to the shrewd negotiations made by his runt brother, Dirk, he makes a good coin working the crates both on and off the ship. His nickname is a great source of pride for him; Thankfully he doesn't realize it was meant as an insult to his vapidness. Knowing all of the stories about his father, he sees sea captains as kings and honors them as such. Dirk “The Rat” Barlow - Human Swashbuckler, Rogue: Cowardly, dishonorable, mostly “bark” with very little “bite”. Dirk, “The Rat”, is more inclined on taking the least amount of personal risk as possible. He would almost always be up for taking candy from a baby. This weasel is a fickle friend, who really can't be counted on whatsoever. Very clearly a “save his own skin” type, but will use every trick in the book to get one over on any encounter he is a part of. Cosmic Radiance: Ruven Umero - Pallid Elf Circle of Stars, Druid: Ruven was taught the art of reading the stars from a young age and took to it well. Like the other children of his ilk, he was shown the wonders and mysteries of the night sky and appreciated its awe. As taught; He came to live his life by messages woven into the heavens. For weal or for woe, he would follow them. For a reason unbeknownst to him, they led him into a skyless dungeon in a temple of Shar. As the worlds spun about their clockwork routines Ruven meditated and waited for his path to be revealed. He remained here for some time. Some time that is; until a Cleric of Selune, called Tenno, would liberate him. Upon his liberation he would, once again, seek his future in the stars. They would not, however, call him home. They would instead guide him far to the (direction of your adventure) where he would face his cloud obscured destiny. Equally frustrated and intrigued; His recent savior, Tenno, would join him on this journey. Tenno Silverlight - Human Twilight Domain, Cleric: Born under “The Second Moon”, a Full moon at Lunar Pedigree, the Selunite prepared for the coming of what would surely be the Herald of their Silver Lady. Had he been born a girl. Tenno’s life was all but set before he was even born. The proper tutors were arranged for the life of a Priestess. Elegant Jewelry was procured for whatever their potential taste would develop into. Every comfort was pre arranged. Only to disappoint everyone at their first glance of him. Being “Good”, the Selunite did not outwardly show their discontent with him. But there was always a subtle disappointment between their words. The Empath in him could read such clearly. For this reason, Tenno leaned on the outward aspects of the clergy. Letting wanderlust, and curiosity guide his path. He often found that the directions were in the moon and the stars. Such guidance led him to a temple of Shar, an enemy goddess to his Silver Lady. Where he found a prisoner, left to die in the temple. Ruven, an Elf of similar sentiment, would prove to be a kindred spirit. When Ruven asked if Tenno would like to join him on his quest, he didn't hesitate or even ask what such quest was. He accepted, and together they travelled back to the Selunite. The Clergy was unsurprisingly quick to approve what they called “An extended pilgrimage to far away lands”. And off they set… With naught but the Moon and The Stars to guide them. These are just a few samples of the kinds of ideas that we enjoy and are by no means characters that we need to play. We’re both happy to come up with other ideas as we’re fully aware that a lot of these decisions hinge on setting, party dynamics, and stat rolls. With all that said; we’re looking forward to hearing from you. Our contact info is in the header and you can contact either one, or both, of us if you wish. If we’re not quite what you were looking for then we’d like to wish you a happy campaign and we hope you find who you’re looking for!
