[LFP][5e] Multiple Campaigns for multiple groups! (Rifts of Alera)(Ride the Winds!)(Ember of Hope)(Paradisum: Land of Wishes)

Hey there! I'm Gummo31 and I've been DM'ing a bit for the past few years. Now, I wouldn't call myself a veteran 5e DM, but I know my way around! I currently have two different groups going, one is a regularly scheduled Sunday night long running campaign, while the other is on rare occasions when everyone is able to get together I.E once or twice every other month. With that being said, I'm looking to DM for a few other groups to try out a few other campaign ideas! TIMES: I'm fairly flexible, but the following start times are preferable Sometime between 4 - 9pm CST Saturday Sometime between 4 - 9pm CST Monday Sometime between 4 - 6pm CST Tuesday Sometime between 2 - 9pm CST Wednesday Sometime between 4 - 6pm CST Friday Sometime around 3pm CST Sunday The length of each session is still in question MUST HAVE A WORKING MIC AND ACCESS TO DISCORD Now, before I throw you a pitch for the different campaign ideas allow me to give you a bit of information on myself and what I'm looking for with each group! Name: Josh Pronouns: He/Him Age: 19 DM Experience: 3+ years DM Style: (can fluctuate depending on the campaign) I'm a fairly RP heavy DM that enjoys building elements of the campaign around the PC's background and stories. I do of course include combat, but it's generally much more impactful than regular grinding missions. I like to have impactful events followed by smaller more menial tasks that can allow for some growth and character development! About Me: I'm a college student and a tutor that works a few jobs! I'm a big fuckin DnD nerd that also used to be super into the Warhammer universe. What I'm looking for from you! Name: (your name of course, or whatever you'd want me and other players to call you) Pronouns: (pronouns obviously) Age: (getting self explanatory at this point) Experience: (whether it be DM'ing or playing, both 5e and any other rpg game) Playstyle/Preference: (what type of playstyle/DM style do you prefer?) Campaign: (tell me which campaign you're interested in and a bit about why, if you can!) About Me: (small little blurb about yourself I can get to know you a bit by!) Campaigns Here come the campaign ideas! Each will be different with different age parameters, what the DM style is going to be like, etc. Feel free to read the bold blurbs at the end to get the TL:DR of each campaign if you don't want to read through each pitch. 1) Rifts of Alera [18+][High Fantasy/Horror/Apocalyptic][RP: Heavy Combat: Medium][3-4 players] Crooked crows and twisted stags cry betwixt the cracked deadwood trees that sit atop the blackened corrupt hills. A cold wind laced with foul arcana rolls over the dips and rises of the scarred plains. The sky is blotted with dark grey smoke, acidic rain falls from broiling storm clouds, and sun rays are considered nothing more than a children's story. The world wasn't always this way. By Gods and Devils alike, Alera was considered a jewel amongst the Terrestrial Realm. Elves, dwarves, humans, and various other races lived in harmony for thousands and thousands of years without much more than menial conflict. As Gods of virtue and celestials looked upon the crowned jewel that is Alera with protective eyes, Devils, demons, and Gods of Tempest and violence looked upon Alera with prospective eyes. Wanting to claim the jewel for themselves, creatures of the Abyssal realm lied in wait to pounce and claim Alera. Opening a rift that served as a connection to the Abyssal realm, the monstrosities that emerged from the tear instantly set out on a conquest of destruction to corrupt and kill the inhabitants of the Celestial's beloved land. A war between creatures of the Celestial realm and creatures of the Abyssal realm tore throughout the land of Alera, demolishing the land beneath them as cursed and holy powers alike shattered the fabric of reality surrounding this very planet. Centuries passed and the war continues to rage. Areas specifically cordoned as warzones with a potent atmosphere enough to kill any mortals that stumble upon it. Communities of the original inhabitants of the once crowned jewel, now roam the plains in search of a way to halt the ongoing war that decimates their home. But beware, the chaotic influence of Abyssal creatures runs rampant upon Aleran lands. You never know what may happen, never know what is real, what isn't, you may lose your conscious, you may lose your sense of self, but never forget the one rule. Stay alive. ( TL:DR horror fantasy setting with monsters, demons, and celestials constantly warring across the lands. Violence, gore, horror, religious references, and mature content. Think of it like 5e Fantasy Doom Eternal ) 2) Ride the Winds! [16+][Mid Fantasy/Magitech/Steampunk][RP: Heavy Combat: Low][3-4 Players] A crisp refreshing wind brushes past your face and through your nostrils as you take a deep breathe atop the deck of your Winds Ship, Valkyrie . Coursing through the air and sailing the clouds you feel a sense of freedom as you look down upon the world below you, the lands of Navili. Wide and tall mountains ranges, glistening flowing rivers, lively green forests, and vibrant wildlife make up the environment of Navili. You are a crewmate on the supply ferry for the Herulor Republic, "Valkyrie". You and your crew are tasked with supporting the Herulor Republic with their battle for secession against the oppressive totalitarian government of the Western Union. They have expanded their sphere of control and influence all across the western continents, now setting their eyes upon dominating those in the East. Colonies and settlements dot all across the western boundaries and islands of the eastern continents, the Union exerting their desire for total and complete world domination. The Herulor Republic is one of those many colonies settling on the eastern front, one of many colonies that was less than pleased under the Union's control. Citizens under the Union on the island of Herulor came to a boiling point in which they revolted against the Union, eventually forming the Herulor Republic. Adventures in the sky filled with comradery, airship battles, pirates, flying beasts, political strife, and some good ol dinner with the crew chocks this campaign full with content and characters. ( TL:DR mid fantasy steampunk adventure campaign in which you fly in a steampunk supply airship as a group of rebels against a big government. This will be more of a fun campaign with a few serious twists on it ) 3) Ember of Hope [17+][High Fantasy/Communal/Apocalyptic][RP: High Combat: Medium][4-5 Players] Dry frostbitten tendrils of wind lick at the tip of your nose and ends of your ears. The snowy wastelands of Glacian are no hospitable place. Beasts, hunters, and fanatics prowl the lands in search of food, laborers, and converts. It is a free-for-all battlefield for all those outside of communities and marked peace areas. Fresh and accessible resources are often fought over to the death, eventually leading to the entire demise of the losers. This way of life was considered average, normal by the standards of the wasteland. Hope, humanity, and decency were deadweight for those attempting to survive in this frosty hell. For decades many people lived like this, until one little boy was born. Rumors spread like a wildfire of a town that was self-sustaining, a town that had access to a farm, usable water, live grass and trees. This town very quickly rose as many inhabitants of Glacian picked up the broken pieces of their hope and travelled to this rumored town, with the revitalization of their crushed hearts. Whether you, members of the party, are already established members of this community, or if you're wandering adventurers and Wastemen, as you arrive in this town you will come to know that the source of this life is but a young mute boy no more than twelve-years-old. The elders of this town speak of a vision their prophet had, that if brought to the Temple of Uslameth, told to be the center of Glacian's creation, that this boy could use his strange powers to save the lands once again bring back the green that it had been lacking for so long. ( TL:DR high fantasy ice age apocalyptic campaign in which you must trekk through a frozen wasteland in order to deliver a mute boy with the powers to breath life into the land, to the Temple of Uslameth for the sake of Glacian ) 4) Paradisum: Land of Wishes [16+][Medium Fantasy/Video game-like/Isekai][RP: High Combat: Medium][3-5 Players] Many dreams, aspirations, and goals seem almost entirely unattainable. Yet we still seek after them, why is that? Do we hold on to a shred of hope that maybe there's a very slim avenue in which we may see them come to fruition? Is it the driving factor to our continued existence? Many people are aware they're dreams will never come to be, yet still get depressed when it doesn't. But what if I told you there was a land in which your dreams could come true? Unimaginable riches, immeasurable power, near-immortality, and many many other gifts can be claimed in the land of Paradisum. Thousands upon thousands of people from the modern twenty-first century find themselves resting their heads against their soft pillows to sleep, and dream about being able to ascertain their aspirations. That feeling festers and culminates until, that slim avenue to the end, to their desires, becomes presented to them. Arriving on a vast completely barren black wasteland that stretches indefinitely in front of a gargantuan mysterious black tower that extends up and up towards the black sky. The Tower of Periculum, or the tutorial to Paradisum. The gate to the land of dreams is locked, and the key rests at the top of the mysterious Tower of Periculum. A series of mental and physical trials alike await at each floor of the ginormous tower to weed out the weak and determine those worthy of Paradisum. You will be required to work alongside or betray those beside you in order to make it through this hellish landscape. Will you survive and see yourself at the gates of Paradisum? Or will you fall to the pits of the Black Plains cursed to forever travel its barren wastelands? ( TL:DR medium fantasy isekai-esque campaign with video game like elements. characters are all from modern times and transported to the Tower of Periculum because of a strong to desire for something leading them to seeking out Paradisum, a fantasy world where anything can come true. !! GREAT FOR BEGINNERS !! ) (note: inspired by both Tower of God and Second Coming of Gluttony. Different, but similar concept) Alright! That's all of em! Apologies for the long read. If you really did read ALL of that I really commend you as it is quite the read. But, nevertheless thank you very much for your time! Feel free to comment responding to this post with the aforementioned information or DM me! Thanks and have a marvelous day!
Hello! Name: Stiles or Ding Pronouns: He/Him Age: 25 Experience: About 2 years of playing 5e, nearly weekly. Not a lot of prior D&D or other TTRPG experience, but constant playing and exposure has gotten me pretty comfortable with how 5e functions at least. Playstyle: I currently play in campaigns that have a heavy focus on either RP or combat. Combat tactics are a ton of fun, however I'm moving quickly towards wanting to play in an RP/character/story driven campaign that uses combat to continue to tell the story (and doesn't always have to end in murderhobo-ing the encounter) rather than for gaining levels. For DMs, I've come to enjoy DMs (and been very lucky to have them) that will ground my character in their worlds and take what I give them, integrate it, and surprise me with their own interpretation of things. The ability to have open input and feedback on how I want to develop my character is also something I value a lot. Campaign: I'm interested the most in Rifts of Alera and Ride the Winds. Both of them seem to have the most opportunities for a group of adventurers to interact with the world and carve a niche for themselves. RtW seems like it would be fun to play as part of an already established group and seems like it has decent potential for the party engaging in political shenanigans, which always allows for great RP moments. Rifts seems like it'll be the most fun to have a character built from scratch and forcing the world to accept that they exist. Also the potential for the party to affect change on smaller but rewarding levels by helping and protecting other survivors plus all the inherent lore that comes with Angels and Demons. I'd be wary of it being "grimdark" and brutal for brutality's sake, but your description doesn't give that impression. As far as availability, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays would be the best for me. About Me: As I mentioned, I'm Stiles. I've only been playing for a couple years and was introduced to D&D through Critical Role. It's been something that has been enormously helpful for my mental health and ability to socialize, especially over the last year. I currently live in New Jersey but will be moving to Texas in about a year. I've got a full-time career and thankfully managed to knock out all of my schooling and graduated with my Master's a couple months ago. With the recent invention of free time, I've been playing more video games and thinking up character concepts.  Hope to hear from you soon if you think I fit what you're looking for in a player! -S
