NOTE: Due to a Roll20 Glitch that has returned after a long while, several of the player's inputs have disappeared as well as any dice roll macros! Dungeon Master (GM): Hello All!   Dolores: hii   Roqar: Hi   Dungeon Master (GM): ok we can get underway here and we shall start after i repost the description of where you are right now   Roqar: In the game we just type no chatting   Dungeon Master (GM): At the top of the stairs, a rocky plateau spreads out some 80 feet above the water. Wooden doors leading into the lighthouse, have rusty iron hinges and handles, as well as decorative lightning bolts carved into them. so now that is what you all see   Buddy D.: you have xar motiejus   Motiejus L.: I open door   Roqar: Do you want me to check for traps first?   Motiejus L.: No   Buddy D.: lol   Bahrrenn Drakke: hello everyone. sorry late   Roqar: Hi   Willie Belson: do push ups for being late jk no worries   Dungeon Master (GM): This 15-foot-high room is empty. Through a dirty window in the south wall, the adventurers can see two ships’ masts jutting crookedly from the water.   Motiejus L.: I one door open   Dungeon Master (GM): the double door or the single south door?   Motiejus L.: south   Dungeon Master (GM): nothing more is to be perceived in the foyer.   Motiejus L.: I open this door   Dungeon Master (GM): A spiral staircase with an ornate stone railing climbs up the inside wall of this round stone tower. Each staircase landing is 20 feet higher than the one below it. there is a door to the north east on the 1st floor.   Motiejus L.: I opne it   Dungeon Master (GM): This 15-foot-high room has two north-facing windows.   Motiejus L.: I opne window I look through window Why there are two numbers?   Willie Belson: advantage and disadvantage you ooops oops i mean   Motiejus L.: So which is real number?   Willie Belson: regular and advantage one on th eleft   Dungeon Master (GM): as you move to that window you are stopped as anchorites of talos come to either side of you. You also see another anchorite sitting on a throne wearing what looks like octopus hide. Resting on his lap is an opalescent conch.   Dolores: (im back)   Motiejus L.: Hello, anchornite   Dungeon Master (GM):   Motiejus L.: Nonoe, sorry, I leav I close the door   Dungeon Master (GM): ha!   Dolores: Motiejus, under your chatbox you can select which character you are speaking as   Dungeon Master (GM): ok, so they let you leave without persuing and you hear them chuckling   Motiejus L.: Xar: ther anchornites live, so do not go there Xar said to other party members   Motiejus L.: Why? Maybe We should let them live?   Motiejus L.: Ok, so you can go here, I will not go here agian, it would be too akward   Willie Belson: is that a door?   Willie Belson: sounds good lol   Motiejus L.: Maybe any of you have some kind of mask? ALSO THERE IS WINDOWW SO WE CAN attack them from both sides   Dungeon Master (GM): Dolores I don't know why the blue bar is showing over your token. It is unchecked not to be seen.   Motiejus L.: Yay I figured it   Dolores: it's ok GM, i use it to track my component pouch   Dungeon Master (GM): so are we rushing into the room?   Motiejus L.: np no     Motiejus L.: I need mask No Roqar I go there then   Dungeon Master (GM): whomever the first one is through will get two initial free attacks on them.   Motiejus L.: I To speak about not killing inocent people
Motiejus L.: ?   Willie Belson: Can I see him   Dungeon Master (GM): did Dolores want to go up the stairs while the convo with the Guards is going on? See who Buddy? oh no, the door is closed so you are talking through it.   Motiejus L.: I squat and use my blade as mirror to look what happens behind me   Dolores: i wanted to go up but then i noticed they were talking in the other room so i ctrl+z   Dungeon Master (GM): that's some shiny blade! ok   Motiejus L.: Do I have to roll for stealth?   Dungeon Master (GM): yes if that is your attempt at doing so   Dungeon Master (GM): ok where exactly are you and where do you intend to move?   Motiejus L.: look at battle map I am near window   Dungeon Master (GM): ok   Motiejus L.: What there are two xars?   Dungeon Master (GM): one is the real-time Xar the other is his time echo, you have the echo at the window now   Motiejus L.: So real one goes to open this door   Dungeon Master (GM): alright The walls of this fifteen-foot-high room are adorned with frescoes that depict ships being tossed on stormy seas, with a dark and terrible god looming above them and smiling. Set into the west wall is a dirty, salt-encrusted window. A stone altar with lightning bolts carved into it stands against the south wall. A metal rod descends from the ceiling above the altar, splitting in two before it embeds itself into the stone.   Motiejus L.: I try to figure out about that god   Dungeon Master (GM): ok, since this god is very commonly known throughout the Neverwinter realm, you note that this is dedicated to Talos for sure and that's it.   Motiejus L.: I go to open this door   Dungeon Master (GM): A ledge enclosed by a 3-foot-high stone retaining wall. You spot what looks similar to a nest made with rotting vegetation.   Motiejus L.: I look at nest   Dungeon Master (GM): ok, inside of it are the bones of previous meals. reading the description made me groan as it says something that should have been noted when you first met the harpies! sigh.   Motiejus L.: I lift nest and throw it into water   Dungeon Master (GM): this is the location that the harpies flew from after they charmed members of the party and there should have been one on everyone! it's one huge nest!   Roqar: Oh well all dead now   Dolores: maybe they went to fly around and will be back later   Dungeon Master (GM): big enough for 8 harpies at least yea, that Dolores!   Dolores: do harpies lay eggs maybe we can eat them a bit hungry   Dungeon Master (GM): no eggs are visible   Roqar: Glares  "Yeah, Thanks"   Dolores: famished actually   Dungeon Master (GM): must not be mating season.   Dolores: what a shame   Motiejus L.: I still try to lift huge nest and throw it   Dungeon Master (GM): however Xar does find a vial among the bones.   Motiejus L.: Try to figure you what kind of vial is this Investigation roll?   Dungeon Master (GM): well as you pick it up you note there seems to be a liquid moving around inside of it.   Motiejus L.: quicksilver!    Dungeon Master (GM): doing anything more with the vial?   Motiejus L.: Should I roll for investigatin or what skill? To figure you what kind of vial is this   Dungeon Master (GM): well the vial just looks like an ordinary one so really you can't tell anything more about it.   Motiejus L.: I open it, and smel it carefult carefully smell   Dungeon Master (GM): it smells like seaweed to you.   Motiejus L.: I close it and put in a pocket   Dungeon Master (GM): ok   Motiejus L.: Did I suceed to lift and throw that nest?   Dungeon Master (GM): yes   Motiejus L.: So now it is in the water?   Dungeon Master (GM): yes   Motiejus L.: yay   Dungeon Master (GM): floating   Motiejus L.: We could heve used it as boat
Dungeon Master (GM): ha ha!   Motiejus L.: how steep is that sloope?   Dungeon Master (GM): probably will fall apart as the dirt in it gets muddy anyways no inclination is given really but it is 80 ft up from the sea below. It's width of inclination out from the ledge, varies from 15 to 30 ft down from the ledge. the 15ft ft being the steepest drop down into the water.   Willie Belson: I would love to kill their friends lol   Dolores: is there anything in this room that could be a point of interest   Motiejus L.: think* lol   Dungeon Master (GM): yes you do!   Dolores: would i be able to see them from that window   Dungeon Master (GM): two of them   Dolores: i can only make one person sleep with this spell   Dungeon Master (GM): say the window starts 5ft from the ground here since it's just a light house, not a stronghold.   Dolores: dolores is 5'4 perfect   Dungeon Master (GM): if the time echo is trying for the other north window I would need a dexterity check to get over to it and another one to show you have a foot hold.   Dungeon Master (GM): ha!   Motiejus L.: wow   Dolores: wow   Dungeon Master (GM): ok, the Time excho is peaking in and can see the one Anchorite as seen. the two guards are by the entrance, as if awaiting on if you break in.   Motiejus L.: Can my echo speak?   Dungeon Master (GM): (To GM)rolling d20( 6 ) = 6   Dungeon Master (GM): (To GM)rolling d20( 2 ) = 2   Dungeon Master (GM): (To GM)rolling d20( 15 ) = 15   Motiejus L.: CAn I see through his eyes and hear through his ears, is he the same person as I am?   Dungeon Master (GM): yes he can speak, it's Xar but simply at another point in time. however if you are struck you wink out until reactivated. yes   Dolores: SPELL SLOT LEVEL 12 OF 4 REMAINING   Dungeon Master (GM): are you going to cast that Dolores?   Dolores: yes   Dungeon Master (GM): ok   Motiejus L.:   Dolores backs off from the window without checking if the spell worked or not   Dungeon Master (GM): the spell does not work on either two that Dolores sees but they are now aware that something was trying to affect them and are looking about to see where it came from, Moesko, on the chair looks out the window but Dolores is not there now.   Motiejus L.: I grab arm of farren and araunuk and drag them through window, instructing them to attack through window     Dungeon Master (GM): you of course need to break the window first so there is no surprise there.   Motiejus L.: but still they would be surrounded   Dolores: they must be distracted by the window now   Willie Belson: Let the boddies hit the floor...     Dungeon Master (GM): ok roll your init rolls. Still anyone one through the door first is getting attacked twice before we go into the combat round.     Dungeon Master (GM): Init roll Dolores or are you staying out of the fight?   Dungeon Master (GM): ok i take it willie will be the first to bust through the door... roll a strength check whom is entering through the window? place tokens near it please.   Motiejus L.: yey, glador   Dungeon Master (GM): buddy roll a strength check to break open the door. ok someone roll that strength check for buddy please   Willie Belson: lol   Dungeon Master (GM): ok he could not break the door open? anyone else?   Motiejus L.: Can I break window?   Dungeon Master (GM): actually after the door is opened we go by the init as to whom enters the room first roqar could not break open the door   Motiejus L.: Door is real enemy just open it, lol   Dungeon Master (GM): ok window guys, do you break the window now or wait until you see the party in the room?   Roqar: break it   Dungeon Master (GM): it's locked or barred now   Motiejus L.: My echo form use glave to stab that guy   Dungeon Master (GM): ok
Dungeon Master (GM): ok so now you got two of them looking towards the window as it is smashed in   Motiejus L.: did I hurt that guy?   Dungeon Master (GM): did the time echo break the window he is at as well? heck no not with that roll   Roqar: Can Galdor see the two in the corner?   Motiejus L.: he is still outside   Dungeon Master (GM): ok yes   Roqar: SPELL SLOT LEVEL 2ALL SLOTS EXPENDED   Dungeon Master (GM): the hold person did now work, so Moesko shakes off the spell effect and looks angrily at the shattered window   Motiejus L.: can my real self use big sword to break window?   Dungeon Master (GM): ok i will start the turn order here now, when it's your turn you need to try to break through the door, the window guys climb in first yes, and i though you already did that ok combat round begins now   Start of Round 1 Start of Turn 1 for Farren (23.18)   Dungeon Master (GM): who got Farren today? Start of Round 1 Start of Turn 1 for Time Echo (Xar'Tharkas) (14.14)   Dungeon Master (GM): there we go and he missed the shark   Motiejus L.: Since I it will kill me faster than I could, I go to investigate sunken ship   Dungeon Master (GM): umm ok it's messed up the shark goes first then you it's your move give me an investigation check   Motiejus L.: lol   Dungeon Master (GM): ok, you don't spot anything   Start of Turn 1 for Hunter Shark (18)   Dungeon Master (GM): a hit and you wink out   Motiejus L.:   Dungeon Master (GM): any farther actions? if not this is a good place to stop for the day.   Motiejus L.: When Echo died what happened with his short axe that was laying on ground?   Roqar: Not really we check out the lighthouse   Dungeon Master (GM): the one that was thrown should be by the throne   Motiejus L.: So I pick My axe and echo's axe   Dungeon Master (GM): there is an upper floor going up the stair well, I revealed some of it   Motiejus L.: I summon new mr echo   Roqar: check that out check it next week   Motiejus L.: Did I succeed summoning new one?   Dungeon Master (GM): ok going up the stair well reveals another door on the next floor then it continues up some more past that to the next floor. yes   Roqar: pick that up next week   Dungeon Master (GM): ok then   Motiejus L.: Is new one affected by vial?   Dungeon Master (GM): no he is not affected   Motiejus L.: Does new one have short axe?   Dungeon Master (GM): yes, whatever weapon Xar Prime has the echo has   Motiejus L.: So now echo removes all of his items and I make him disappear. Did items disappeared too?   Dungeon Master (GM): yes   Motiejus L.: I summon him again then   Dungeon Master (GM): ok   Motiejus L.: So I have that short axe of mr echo?   Dungeon Master (GM): you both should have the axe currently   Motiejus L.: one?   Dungeon Master (GM): there is two of you so two axes   Motiejus L.: one small one big?   Dungeon Master (GM): yes   Motiejus L.: I go outside and look how tall is the building   Dungeon Master (GM): 3 floors so figure 40 ft counting the roof.   Motiejus L.: In which floor I am curently in?   Dungeon Master (GM): 1st floor the ground floor   Motiejus L.: This is lighthouse right?   Dungeon Master (GM): yes easy to tell the spiral stairs should lead up into the light mechanism   Motiejus L.: How many floors and how tall is lighthause tower?   Dungeon Master (GM): 3 floors, 40ft tall i'm guessing   Motiejus L.: and there is seperate building that only has one floor? this?   Dungeon Master (GM): nope, it's all one building   Motiejus L.: Could you send photo which would represent how this building looks?   Dungeon Master (GM): WotC did not provide a side view!   Willie Belson: damn wotc...lol   Dungeon Master (GM): heh, these modules have me say that a lot!   Motiejus L.: So this angled building as well as circled building both have three floors? Or just that circle sahped building? Part   Dungeon Master (GM): well, the light house is 40 feet but the rest goes up 20 some feet   Roqar: No there are a few rooms around it one floor   Dungeon Master (GM): you have that door up on the 2nd floor then the stairs continue up past that   Motiejus L.: Ok, so could we just climb that stairs up to the top and end with a cliffhanger?   Roqar: no we might find another fight on the second floor   Dungeon Master (GM): or all the way up for that matter you can go all the way up if you want, if there is an encounter we wait until next week, same to do any other actions   Roqar: ok
Dungeon Master (GM): may as well reveal the rest of the ocean since you can see it up there.   Willie Belson: oh sweet   Dungeon Master (GM): The pinnacle of the lighthouse beacon is partly open to the elements and surrounded by a narrow walkway topped by an iron railing. Three open archways allow the beacon’s pulsating green light to spill westward over the sea.   Roqar: search for any treasure or the orcs heart   Dungeon Master (GM): where do you look?     Dungeon Master (GM): where exactly do you look?   Roqar: check inside the green light for starts   Motiejus L.: Could I make that Xar jumps out of light house and right before hiting an ocean changes bodies with mr echo?   Dungeon Master (GM): ok as Roqar does so, she gets blinded by the very bright light! you can't switch bodies   Roqar: hehe sits down waits to recover goes to check the second floor   Dungeon Master (GM): see it was never done before ok   Motiejus L.: Xar jumps out of light house and right before hiting an ocean changes bodies with mr echo   Roqar: poor echo always gets beat up haha   Dungeon Master (GM): From this vantage point, the characters can see the shattered masts of the five shipwrecks west of the lighthouse. Enclosing the rooftop is a 1-foot-high stone wall with a 2-foot-high iron railing atop it. A similar railing circles the walkway of the lighthouse beacon (area T9), which is 20 feet above this area. A 10-foot-tall, wrought-iron lightning rod reaches toward the sky. by the way Roqar's sight did return after about a minute   Roqar: we can check all the rooms for anything have to restart for updates catch you later   Dungeon Master (GM): let's stop here anyways it's 2pm my time so Thanks for playing guys and see you all next week!   Motiejus L.: it is 9 PM where I live, lol thanks   Dungeon Master (GM): somewhere in Europe? you're welcome!   Motiejus L.: Yes   Dungeon Master (GM): cool! ok then see you later!   Motiejus L.: bye
