Quickly change active layer of the Virtual Tabletop.

Tokens are moved about between GM and token layers constantly. Why not the ability to use the center mouse click or even a key and click when selecting a token to instantly move from your current layer to the layer that token is on? Ideally this should be able to keep a GM's hand on the mouse instead of running back and forth between the keyboard using the CTRL + M/O/K or having to use the toolbar constantly.  This would make it more similar to how the scroll and zoom options of the are used with only CTRL changing which of the two functions scrolling the mouse wheel actually does.
You can do that using the VTTES extension. But also, if you have advanced keyboard shortcuts enabled, it's just a single letter to switch between layers (o, k, m, ;).
I'm aware of the VTTES, but recent updates made parts of it unusable, mainly the alternate page toolbar and I was hoping to be able to use standard roll20 content instead of relying on mods like better5e tools and the like.
The advanced keyboard bindings allow you to move a token to another layer with just two key clicks. But perhaps you could modify your first sentence to indicate that YOU are constantly moving tokens between the GM and token layers (it isn't something that I do on a regular basis).
