Planning on picking up Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, but have got some concerns.

I plan on picking up Tasha's Cauldron to Everything and I intend to play artificer in my DM's game however, I've looked it up and seen some mixed things. Is it possible to get the Artificer in the charactermancer in another persons game? I don't want to do the whole make a game and promote my DM to GM thing because for one I don't have any idea what the next campaign we are running. Would I be able to use charactermancer to create an artificer character in a whole nother campaign setting if I bought Tasha's Cauldron of Everything?

Hi Damien! The Help section on Compendium Sharing should answer many questions, but I'll run down the specifics here: If you buy TCE, all the features are available in any game you create If you turn on Compendium Sharing, a the features are available in any game you create (though at the Free Level, you are limited to one game of five players) You have access to all features of TCE in any game you join that uses the 5e Compendium, regardless of whether the creator has purchased it. This includes Charactermancer options. In instances where the Character Vault is available, a character you create with TCE options comes through intact.

I'm not sure the charactermancer is fully integrated with all the player options in Tasha's.

That wasn't the question. The question was about using the options that are available in other campaigns. There are a few features introduced in TCE that are still being incorporated into Charactermancer, yes. The rules are still present, and can be handled manually in these cases, but the work is underway. The point stands that the things you do get from TCE (or any sourcebook) follow the sharing rules above.

In fact, it has an extra subclass unavailable from Eberron And exactly how much of Tasha's player options are in the charactermancer currently? I haven't explored that particular class. All of the options are in the book text, all of the basic options are available. My suspicion is that if anything is "missing" it might be some of the optional choices. Keep in mind that if you purchase TCE and are unsatisfied, you can always request a refund. Roll20 is very understanding in their return policy, so long as it is not abused.
