Order Tracker this session. At times it does not have the names displayed
during the turn. Also, looked like I have go in and delete out the graphic
first because when I use the MS Word function to remove all graphics at once, it
also appeared to delete the names out but that may be because I only looked at
the initial batch of turns which didn’t display a lot of the names.] Opening Scene: Day 20 : June 21 st
(first day of summer); 7:30 am After Roqar, recovers from the
blinding greenish light in the tower beacon, the adventurers go back down to
the 2 nd floor and open it’s door onto a rooftop. From this vantage point, the adventurers can see the shattered
masts of the five shipwrecks west of the lighthouse. Enclosing the rooftop is a
1-foot-high stone wall with a 2-feet-high iron railing atop it. A similar
railing circles the walkway of the lighthouse beacon, which is 20 feet above
this area. A 10-foot-tall, wrought-iron lightning rod reaches toward the
sky in the south end of this area! They do some searching here but nothing more is to be found. Xar’Tharkas, is up in the beacon room now, having a look around,
first at the floor for a secret trap door but none is found. Then, it’s down to the altar room: The
walls of this fifteen-foot-high room are adorned with frescoes that depict
ships being tossed on stormy seas, with a dark and terrible god looming above
them and smiling. Set into the west wall is a dirty, salt-encrusted window. A
stone altar with lightning bolts carved into it stands against the south wall.
A metal rod descends from the ceiling above the altar, splitting in two before
it embeds itself into the stone. When
Xar'Tharkas searches the altar, as soon as it is touched he feels an immense
electrical tingling course through his body!, Others in the room see that tiny
sparks crackle in his eyes! Xar’Tharkas,
then goes back to the room where the three Anchorites of Talos, were to have a
look at the other two bodies. Unlike their leader, Moesko, they did not have
holes in their chest cavity. Though Xar’Tharkas, still slices them open with
his glaive to see if anything is amiss, and nothing was, so he just cuts their
hearts out anyways, and puts them inside his backpack. The
body of Moesko, is cut up with hand axes. Meanwhile Farren, goes up to the
beacon room to have a look around. He avoids looking directly at the blinking
green light, Closing his eyes and turning away while then feeling his way
towards it’s center, hoping his hands connect to something. At
first it seems he walked right thru the middle of it when suddenly he bumps into
something about 5 feet off the ground, Farren, tries to get a feel for it and
is repulsed at first due to it’s fleshy and pulsing feeling! If
it’s Moesko heart, It is very large for a half-orc and would not have fit in his chest cavity.
Farren, tries to get a grip hold on the pulsing object and tries to move it,
but it was to no avail. Farren,
tries to damage the fleshy object using his martial arts skills, punching away
at it until suddenly it implodes, setting fire to the blanket now covering it,
which then drops to the floor smoldering away! The
pulsing light is no longer there! Meanwhile, after Xar’Tharkas, takes the
pieces of Moesko’s body and tosses them into the sea with the idea that the
sharks in the water will be attracted to the bloody pieces, as he then sends
his Time Echo, into the water to have a look at, at least one of the
shipwrecks. Xar’s
Time Echo, sees that the ship he is searching in and around is named the Sea
Urchin, a successful wisdom perception check, indicates he finds starfishes
clinging to a chest. He takes a length of rope, ties it to himself, while at
the surface to get some air as well, then dives back down to tie the other end
to the chest. He
then swims back to the cliff face and with a successful athletic check, managed
to climb back up to the lighthouse, with the chest in tow, which he then pulls
up the rest of the way. Xar’Tharkas pops up the locked chest with a crowbar and
finds that is it filled with straw, which he moves aside and digs into to find
a finely detailed, 9 inch tall blue quartz statuette of a nude mermaid. Another
Anchorite is chopped up and used for shark chum and Xar’s Time Echo goes into
the sea again to have a look at another shipwreck, this time it’s the Vain
Glory and Golden Gull, but initially he could not find anything worth taking
from the wrecks. As Xar’s
Time Echo, swims to the 3 rd as yet unexplored ship, he sees it’s
called the Orca when the three sharks, one of which is larger than the others,
start swimming towards him, having finished off the chum. Xar’s
Time Echo never heard of any of these sailing ships before. A 1d6 roll of 1
indicates he gets out of the water in time and an athletic check shows he
successfully climbed back up the cliff side to the light house. Roqar,
tells the party to go see the Banshee nowand give Miraal back her opalescent
sea conch, which they do and they assure her that Moesko, his men and the
harpies were dealt with and gone. Miraal thanks the party as this frees Miraal,
from her bond to this plane. Miraal then fades away and disappears.
They
then go and talk to the friendly giant crab that befriended Miraal, whom gave
it intelligence and a voice. They inform
her of the Anchorites of Talos and the harpies being dealt with and that Miraal
was given her conch and was freed of her bonds to this plane.
