Can't invite a player back in..

Hi, a player that was in my game left the game room, when i wanted him back he could not join because unauthorized.  How do i generate a new link for him that might work? I tried creating a copy of the game but he wasn't able to get in even with the new link.
It looks like Cuboneluvr has just posted a similar issue  -- if he's not your player then there may be a larger, system-wide issue with reinstating former players. If he is your player then keithcurtis advised him to use a private browsing page to see if it's a caching issue, or to file a  Help Center Request  if that doesn't work.
i think the join link automatically changes when a player leaves the game.  so make sure you're using the new link and not the old join link.
Hi, thank you for your replies, unfortunately Cuboneluvr is not one of my players. I read around the same thing about the link changing once a player leaves, but i noticed the link hasn't changed from back when i first invited him, also, as i mentioned, when i got e new link through copying the game room that didn't work either. I'm interested in what was said about that other dude's problem though, what do you mean by using a private browsing page? how do i make him do that?

In Chrome, for example, you can open an "Incognito" browsing page (right click a Chrome window in the taskbar, or select from the Chrome menu, or press Ctrl-shift-N from an active Chrome window). This mode disables extensions by default, which could help eliminate any potential conflicts that might arise from whatever extensions the player might be running. I think it might help with potential caching issues as well.
Thank you, i tried to do that, but it didn't work, he can't join through the incognito mode and i can't seem to be able to generate e link that works for him :/

If they left on their own then, unless Roll20 fixed the bug, they could just reenter the game if they have an old url bookmarked or from their browser history and that should reassign them to the game. I've done that a few times, once by accident. If they can not enter and you did not boot them, get a dummy account (you make another free account and use it temporary) and invite the dummy account into the game then boot it. This forces the invite link to reset to a new one. See below for when you boot a player (or dummy account). If you booted them then you will need go to the main page of the game and click on invite players button (blue button above the player's avatar list). That will cause a popup which has a link at the bottom and you can use that to invite them in. With a player boot all old join links are voided and the new one is displayed there. The link is displayed in game also but for your purpose, you do not need to go into the game.
Thank you Pat. I was able to force a new link when i kicked a false account i created and made it join the game, still, even with the new link the player was unable to get in with his old account, at this point he has created another account in order to join my game and it was fine. Still, apparently i happened to know from a discord server i play in there's a bug regarding this matter, so i guess we'll have to wait for the fix.  Gotta not touch that leave button in the meanwhile XD.

Glad to hear it worked out. Sorry for all the trouble. Make sure you post in the appropriate thread of the bug in the bug forum also.
FYI.  I think Roll20 explicitly wants you to make a ticket via their help desk now and not report bugs through the forums.

Of course, if Rikkenergy went straight for the help ticket, then we wouldn't all benefit from learning Pat's solution! I understand it's kind of a catch-22, though, because if the Roll20 team doesn't happen to see the thread (especially since it wasn't posted in the Bugs/Tech Issues forum) then they don't necessarily know there is a problem and makes it harder for them to get a clear picture of the health of the platform. Anyway, glad to hear it worked out, and I'll try to keep that solution in mind if it ever happens to me :)
