Hi! I’m Perene (Jon) of the D12 One-Shots, an experienced DM
with an emphasis on fun, weird one-shots. More information about my playstyle
can be found on my Profile . This is for an All-Bard one-shot on Sunday, December 20th at 5:00pm Central Time . Details below: **Name:** Battle of the Bands! **Players:** 4 **Description: ** Gnarly, Dude! You have been invited to take part in the
‘Thulu Quest TM Battle of the Bands, sponsored by ‘Thulu Energy
Drinks TM . Bring your band and prepare to thrust yourself into the
most righteous of competitions. Just remember that only one band can walk away
the winner. **Level:** Level 8 **Magic items:** One magic item per player, subject to DM approval. **Extra Bits:** Each player will be of a different Bard College, as well as
a different Race (Tasha’s stat swap allowed). Additionally, each player will
choose a different Instrument that they play in the band (these will come with
additional fun abilities). Once we have a group together, the players will
decide on a band name, and each will submit a song title for each round of the
competition. When choosing equipment and Bard College, it will be
important to remember that this is a music competition in addition to anything
else, and while each instrument will come with its own abilities, it is assumed
that you are playing the entire time, with brief pauses to attack/cast spells.
College of Swords on a Grand Piano, probably isn’t viable. Applications may be
made here or via DM, per your preference. Please include the following: Name: Pronouns: Experience Level: What you hope to get
out of the experience: **What makes a D12
One-Shot?:** Named for the first 12 Character Classes in the 5e PHB, the
D12 One-Shots aim to bring an extra level of creativity to the D&D
experience through a combination of restrictions, extra options, and player
choices that will help build a unique gaming experience each time the one-shot
is played. Too often I found one-shots to be a little too cookie-cutter and
easily malleable to any party without the setting or lore needing to be
important to Players. Those can be great games that allow for players to drop
in and out, sometimes at last minute, but I wanted an experience that was a
little different. With a D12 one-shot, Character Creation is part of the game
itself and the moment you read the description of the game, you start thinking
about it, and that is the moment you start playing.
