After the fight at the Trading Post at the Village of Hommlet, the party began to search and loot their surroundings... the culture of dungeon ravagers is a hard thing to leave behind. RAGNA picked up the tracks of their would be assassin, who attacked, only to be thwarted by a sweep of the legs by GORHAM, who subsequently knocked the cloaked killer out. The party was approached by both guards and priest, but neither pleas for sanity would hold, and GORHAM broke the neck of the serpent cultist, making the realm a better place for it. The party saw the The Black Guard off, and looted the corpses finding a MEDALLION vs. CRYSTAL BALLS & ESP, and some MAGICAL POTIONS.  The party left the Trading Post and its stock  of furs, cloaks, gloves, and boots and headed north to the dreaded Broken Lands, and kingdom of the apes. The apes and the sons of civilized man share the same enemies, The Dreaded Wild Men, allies of the Southern Serpent Cults. But what stops the Black Guard from vanquishing the Wild Men? The Keep. The Keep on the Borderlands, which normally donates many furs, rations, and weapons now shuts its doors to the Black Guard. Will the Keep be reasoned with? Will the men who guard it find themselves on the opposite end of the wrath of flying wizards? Or will peace & agreements be made, resulting in a profitable outcome for all, including the party and their White Ape allies?
