23rd of Eleint, 1492 (Just approaching Dusk) We come back to Neristina finishing the tasks she wanted to take care of before she leaves to rejoin her siblings at the mines. However, upon her arrival, she runs into a couple of female wererats guarding the entrance. After pressing them on the whereabouts of her siblings they quickly relayed to her that they sent the group to an old shrine to the north-east, explaining orcs chased them out of the nest they had there and had now taken up the mine as their new nesting lair, and her family went to take care of these orcs so they can go back.
Neri makes the trek north-east to an old shrine 5 miles south of Conyberry, where she runs into a covered wagon and an older man standing by it. She pressed him a bit about what was happening and he explained the party was inside. Neri makes her way around the broken-down wall just in time to see Briar standing on the roof of this shrine, slide down a rope in the belfry into the inside of this shrine. A moment later she hears a thunderous boom within, so she makes her way to the front where she finds Alatar and Kia by the broken-in doors, where two backsides of Ogres were half stuck in the doorway. Leaping into action, the party starts attacking the remnants of the orc and ogre group, Briar and Naisys within finishing off the remaining orcs that stood, and the orc zombies to ordered to kill the ogres. Outside, after stabbing and prodding one of the ogre's backsides, the ogres were finally freed from being pressed into one another in the doorway, two of the three heading inside while the ogre they pestered came outside to deal with the three there. Unfortunately for him, he was worn down and beaten after pummeling his greatclub into Kia a couple of times, before Phoenix swoops in and stabs his talons into his eye. The ogre stumbles backwards and lands into the portcullis, dying at the talon attack. Inside, one of the two ogres has his health reduced to near nothing by Naisys's blades, doing heavy damage without being seen, while Briar tries to siphon off the rest using a vampiric touch. After the ogre outside was handled, Alatar, Kia, and Neri rush in and helps finish off the remaining ogres. Though, after a quick recount, they remembered there was a 4th ogre, so they spread out to search for it. While this happened, Briar and Phoenix found an old iron bell in the south-eastern collapsed tower, Briar finding it odd the iron bell was here and a copper one was installed in the belfry. Meanwhile, the girls run into the ogre, Neri thinking quickly she cast the ogre in magical darkness, causing the indexterous creature to bumble about and fall on his own feet. While this happens, she lets her sisters handle the ogre while she goes off to explore the remaining tower, where Naisys and Kia quickly finish it off as soon as it came out of the darkness. After a bit of time, the party decides to investigate the ruins, seeing if they can find anything of interest. They did very quickly as they noticed loose copper flakes were on themselves after touching the bell. After banging on it constantly throughout the fight, messing with the orcs within, they found that the bell was actually gold painted copper. They realized this was a ton of gold, and they had to take this back with them. After this realization, Briar and Kia head to the altar room to further explore. Kia noticed quickly the altar was not flush on the ground and was raised above the ground slightly. Upon further investigation, she found it was on some stone rollers underneath, and it seemed like something was under there. Curious, Kia without hesitation starts pushing on the altar, though as soon as she does, Briar watches as she passes out instantly, falling to the floor beside the altar. Briar cast detect magic, finding the altar has divine magic radiating off it and a trail of the magic flowing into his sister, and he quickly goes to her side to see what he can do. Meanwhile, Kia was given a vision, where she watched herself leave the shrine and rush to the Icespire mountains. There, she finds an old fortress in the frozen mountain top, and laying on the roof was the ice dragon looking over the land. As she looked at this dragon, the dragon turned its head and it seemed to look right at her at that moment. Just then, she was brought back into her body, waking up to Brair above her. She explains what she saw, worried the dragon might have looked at her in that vision. Briar explained to her about the altar, finding the divine magic gone after she woke up. The two after recovering from that sudden ordeal push the altar out of the way, finding an old wooden coffer underneath. Within, they found a mystery key and some gold, Briar identifying the key as a magical artifact. With this new find, they return to their siblings, who had set fire to the bell to roast the orcs within, accidentally setting fire to the bodies around the orcs and quickly smothering it out with dirt and a shovel. After some discussion the group starts a cleanup process, Briar wanting to clean up the shrine, finding out it belongs to the goddess of magic and wizards. So they clear out the bodies, bind the unconscious orcs under the bell, and collect their spoils into the cart. At this point, it was getting dark, so they set fire to the bodies outside of the shrine and they hole up in the gatehouse for the night. Briar has his orc zombies keep watch on their prisoners for the night as they get a well-earned rest for the evening. The party pauses the session at this point 24th of Eleint, 1492 (Evening)
