We last left our Adventurers camped by a riverside as they made their way toward Ealinor... Waking the next morning to fresh fish courtesy of Catsi, Jett set to making the morning meal with the fish as the company slowly woke. As most settled to their meal, they heard swiftly running footsteps heading closer from further up river. Rising to meet the possible threat, Bartelot drew his longsword as two figures rounded a large bush nearby the Adventurers' camp, calling for them to halt and proclaim themselves. The Adventurers turned to see a white Tiefling and, to their surprise, another Tabaxi standing before the soldier. They were further surprised when the new Tabaxi suddenly called out "Krrrina" and ran to Catsi, enveloping her in a big hug. Expressing thier surprise at seeing each other, the Tabaxi's spent a few moments asking each other how they got where they were, and each telling the same story of being brought to the world through by magic and ending up in a cavernous fortress in the mountains filled with monsters which they had to escape. Canaaar, the new Tabaxi, told Catsi that there were others of their kind that he had also saved from the fortress and was searching for a Tabaxi that he had overheard of in towns, wanting to bring that Tabaxi into their safety if need be. Introductions were made after which Canaaar told Catsi that there was a large company of about fifty monsters heading thier way through the woods, with some of those being large trolls, dire wolves, skeletons and more. He had seen them advancing through the woods as he looked down over the edge of the bluff they were travelling on earlier. They had then seen the campfire and put two and two together, though they did not know that the campers included Catsi. The decision was made to run while they still could where Canaaar said he had found a hidden tunnel behind a waterfall further up river that they could escape through. Quickly packing up camp they feld up river to the waterfall, though once there, they found that they were not able to take the carts through although the horses could just fit.Leaving the carts behind, hidden in an illusion created by Jett, the Adventurers and thier companions fled through the tunnel and toward safety. Coming to the top of the tunnel they found it opened onto a clearing on the edge of the woods that surrounded the nearby hills and mountains. Deciding safety is the best caution, Catsi asked Canaaar if he still had his family's Ring of Invisibility to go out and search, which Canaaar did, vanishing infront of everyone's eyes. Catsi used her Ring of Leaping to quickly climb the surrounding rock formation and together the two scouted the area for signs of danger. As she did so, Catsi saw a form hiding amongst a large bush. Leaping into a tree to conceal herself, Catsi called out to the form asking who it was and was met with a reply that it was a friend and meant no harm. Leaping down, Catsi found herself looking at a pale skinned Drow with equally pale coloured hair and white eyes. Immediately, the Drow entered a fast string of sentences explaining the reason why he was waiting and ensuring the Tabaxi he was not like other Drow and was infact a cleric who followed the Goddess Sune and was shunned from his family due to his abhoration of killing. Once assured, Catsi introduced the Drow to the rest of the group, assuring a nervous Jett and Canaaar that he meant no harm. After his own inspection of the Drow satisfied his fears, Jett seemed at ease in the new-comer's presence. With the group now safe, Canaaar told Catsi that he must leave again to return to the others he had saved so he could protect them; thankful also that she was in a group of friends that kept her safe. Leaving Lyllianes with the group, Canaaar asked the group to continue to keep her safe and vanished again. Also, asking to stay with the group and promising to help and heal them when required, Calico, the Drow joined our Adventurers in their journey to Ealinor. Feeling safe now from the horde of monsters below, Lyllianes called upon he Druid powers, making contact with a nearby bird to ask it to spy down on the riverbank and see if the monster horde was still there. The bird returned to tell them that the horde was there and seemed to be waiting. With that information, the party decided to move on and continue to Ealinor where they could be safe within its walls. Taking the front, Jett tried to lead the party through the woods but with a NAT5 got lost in the woods. Taking over, Catsi tried to find her way though the woods and with a NAT13 was able to find a faint path through the underbrush for the first half hour. A NAT6 roll, saw Catsi loose her way though in the second half hour, causing the party to become lost again. Trying his hand at leading the group, Tados stepped up and tried to show the way; however, with a NAT5 roll also got the group lost in the woods. With a moment of clarity (Crit roll for NAT22) Jett lead the party out of the woods and down to the main road as they entered thier second third hour of travel. Back on the main road, the way became much easier as they day was clear and the road dry. As they travelled, Tados turned his mind to the young soldier and with a PERC19 saw that Jasper appeared inwardly focussed on his thoughts and not the same talkative and overly confident person he was before the battle with the Gnolls. Seeng this also, the new-comer Calico, came alongside the young soldier, asking him how he was and trying to make conversation with him. A PERS11 meant it took some time before the Drow could get a response from the young soldier but eventually he did with Jasper asking Calico if he had been in battle and subsequently telling him that the fight with the Gnolls scared him and made him wonder if the soldier's life was for him. Comforting him as best he could, Calico said there was no shame in changing professions and that the young man should consider what was best for him despite what others may want and do that instead. As the young soldier returned to his thoughts, Lyllianes called upon another bird to scout above and ensure that they were free of danger. The returning bird said there was nothing it could see within a mile of them that appeared dangerous and the party continued without incident for the next two hours. During this time, Catsi took it upon herself to torment the inwardly focussed young soldier who had not helped in the last battle, and told him stories of battles she had been in including a battle with a cocatrice that turned foes to stone. This caused great concern to Jasper who was already fearful for his life after the Gnolls and as they continued their way to Ealinor Catsi tormented him a little more before leaving the poor young man alone. At the eighth hour, they discussed whether they would continue the last two hours to Ealinor or rest for the night. Lyllianes sent another bird to fly back and see if the monster horde was still following, which told her that it was following about 3hrs behind them. On this notification, the party continued to Ealinor risking the chance of suffering exhaustion, knowing that they would have rest in the town. 2hrs of travel saw Catsi and Tados suffer a level of exhaustion each but the adventurers reached Ealinor safely where they mde their way back to the Voyager Inn obtaining rooms, food and drink from Patrick the Innkeeper and settling in for the night. Before he ate Jett sent a message to his informant Bard asking her to meet him in his room to discuss matters of the Network he was setting up in Ealinor. As Jett settled in for the night, he was visited by the female bard who informed him that setting up the Network was going smoothly and already had some succeess with information coming to her that the Mayor was involved in some shady activity. Further investigation revealed that his activities involved a movement that had a symbol attached to it, and involved someone called The Seer of Fire. She produced a drawing of the symbol to Jett which he saw was of the Lightning Bolt and Rose symbol they had come across in the ruined village. After a brief discussion about the information they both knew of the two, the female bard left, leaving Jett to rest for the night.
