5E Charactermancer automatically assigning Tasha's Optional Features for Monks

I noticed yesterday when building a Monk using the charactermancer, in a game where the DM had the Tasha's Cauldron of Everything compendium available, that the charactermancer was automatically assigning the optional Monk class features such as Dedicated Weapon, Ki-Fueled Attack, Quickened Healing, and Focused Aim even if we didn't want them. At the same time, it was leaving out the usual class features of the Open Hand Monk such as the extra effects when using a Flurry of Blows (the knockdown or push) and the Wholeness of Body...those didn't even show up on the sheet. The optional features should be just that-- optional --and allow for choices not to use them in building from the charactermancer.
I have had a similar problems, having feats from Tashas added for my phb strictly ranger.
I hope that this issue does not go the way of UDL! I am having problems with the feat 'Fay Touched' not allowing the haractermancer to create the character. This is not good for new players.
