howdy folks! so, dont get me wrong, i do enjoy a bit of cartography. IRL and in DnD. however, as much as i do enjoy spending a few hours designing encounter maps, bigger picture can be a bit, straining. im looking for the lazy way to the bigger picture. specifically, complete village city town metropolis maps. they dont need be labled, just something a lil more intersting than donjons map generator. ive already spent gobs of money on roll20, and would not object to buying a marketplace asset that scratches this cartographical itch. thanks for yer time!

Hiya Daniel! I have a couple of DIY "Regional Mapper" sets. They are designed to be set at the regional city view scale. I have been meaning to get back to this series for some time, as they are quite useful. Here's a link to the three I have out right now: Vol 1 , Vol 2, Vol 3 .If you pick this set up, make sure to download the set and assemble them in Gimp or Photoshop, as they are designed to be used without the grid on! The buildings also have a bit of "wiggle room" in sizing, so you can adjust them a little smaller if needed.

Additionally, if you are looking for BLANK city maps, PM me, I can see about working something out. I have some I have created for my Homebrew world that are not released. If you would rather have those instead of the DIY kits, I'd be happy to help you out!
yeah, that would work. still have to assemble the city meself, lol, was feeling a bit lazy and hoped to find a map already assembled. but theses at least have large sections of town with road already assembled, so that will at least cut down on time spent on fringe maps. thanks!
Check out Tactical Master.

Have you not tried the Medieval City Generator? https://watabou.itch.io/medieval-fantasy-city-generator What exactly are you hoping to acquire? I can make city maps, I just didn't think people would want a pre-defined city. For example I made this art custom for someone's Blades in the Dark game in Roll20. Is that the kind of concept you wanted, like a defined premade city with streets/buildings/neighborhoods? Rather than a modular assembly? Or like, if I were to make something like this where the islands are all pre-defined pngs and you can place them wherever you would like to use as either a village or a neighborhood in a larger metropolis? This was obviously intended to be a very large metropolis rather than a medieval city, but the components make this kind of work more modular than some of my other work. I can add it to my Roll20 marketplace queue (some kind of city pack).

For finished stuff you could also look at reddit, since there are general subreddits like "mapmaking" and some that are specific to software used for creation like "Wonderdraft" and "Dungeondraft". You could also look through sites where art is posted like DeviantArt to see what you can find. I think the reason there aren't a lot of premade city and town maps on the marketplace is that it is very hard to come up with something fairly universal. Even for a "fantasy" setting, you have the variations based on the scale/availability of magic, scale/availability of tech and mechanical innovation, and even the variety of species involved in the world that may influence how communities would look. At one point, I thought about trying my hand at some premade communities for the Marketplace, but when I really started thinking about it, I realized that I could really only make ones that I was sure would work in the types of world in which I run my games. There is really no way to flesh them out with shops, districts, and npcs without limiting their usability by others. That is the bane and promise of tabletop gaming. You can make the world uniquely your own, but it is uniquely your own and not necessarily directly compatible with what other people are doing.

Well, for combat map purposes there are Gabriel Pickard's Slap Down Towns - some of those are full city blocks, circles, etc...
