Good afternoon, Yesterday i have started a new homebrew game and, even after checking every setting i could think of multiple times, i can not for the life of me figure out why my players can see those token names. In the default settings, these options are turned on/off. https://gyazo.com/71952fbea7c08322341df912df7d39fe I have these API installed which might? interfere with the default settings? https://gyazo.com/e4ac3316d44e8a2931d4fb3a3bc9da56 If anyone has any tips or suggestions, let me know, rather not spoil some of the things i want to throw at them! ~ Rave
I don't know API, but I do know that token settings are individual. Regardless of what your default settings are now, any tokens "saved" before will not be changed, only new tokens created from this point forward. Open a token that your players can see the name of and check to see what its General settings are (the 3 vertical dots to the right of General). Make sure those boxes are not checked. If they are not, make sure the players do not have control of the character sheet associated with that token or can even see it.

To add to Dakota, if/when you do change the setting be sure to re-save the token as the default in the npc character sheet
Yes i have checked those settings, and on old but also every new token i drag from the compendium, both the 'see' and 'edit' settings are automatically enabled. I want to be able to draw monsters from the compendium into my game without the 'see' setting enabled while dragging and not have to manually replace every token. I hope anyone can think of a solution! (or that im missing something obvious someone can point out ^^) ~Rave

At the game's launch page, navigate to the settings page and select "Game Default Settings". From there you can adjust default token settings: Game Settings: Token Section:
Yup, if you check my first gyazo that is how my settings are currently set-up. Still the new tokens are somehow automatically set as 'see'

Sounds like API then. You can determine if it's an API issue by disabling half of them at a time and seeing if the issue persists when all are disabled.

Just a guess, but Aura Tint Health Colors is likely the issue, you can change the settings for it by typing !AURA I believe
That was indeed the problem! thank you! aura tint indeed has a setting that shows the PC's npc token names auto enabled

Jordan beat me to it. I had a suspicion about that script when I read the thread title. It's a common issue with it.
