First: group-init has been a godsend and I love it deeply.  Thank you The Aaron. Next... I've got a weird result popping up.  While the general ordering is working properly with my add-groups (descending or ascending works fine) the "start point" of the order is always set to the character of the last token ID I include.   PJ   7.02 Jabari 21.01 Chun 19.04 Brennan 16.02 Dolomito 15 Domi 12.04 As you can see, the descending ordering is right... we just start with "PJ" at 7 instead of "Jabari" as we should, since he's got 21. If I don't include PJ in my selection, whoever is the last token ID is always first... it moves on to the next character who is last selected, in this case Dolomito: Dolomito 11 Chun 5.04 Jabari 17.01 Brennan 16.02 Domi 12.04 What am I doing wrong here? Thanks in advance, Also Aaron, but not The Aaron
You need to disable the " Preserve First on Sorted Add" option, which is available from the Online Help button that appears in chat when you first launch a game with GroupInit loaded, or it will be displayed using !group-init --help.

Ohhhhh... I see how that could happen.  I had thought that option useful for mid-combat addition-- I never expected it to show up in initial turn order.  But I see now how it's implemented-- my situation makes sense! Thanks for the help on that!!!!
Yeah, I don't know exactly why it works that way, and I feel like someday I'll forget when adding new participants to an existing combat, but it's all I could figure out.  Maybe it has something to do with the exact sequence of token initiative rolls?  If the first token selected rolls low, they still get the top spot and then the initiative sort wraps its way around from there?  I'm not sure how to change it if that's the behavior, though.

With preserve first turn on, rolling initiative doesn't change whose turn it is, it merely rolls the selected tokens into the turn order and sorts them into their place.  The intent is for adding creatures to a battle mid round.  !group-init --sort will always adjust whomever has the first turn when it sorts, so you could roll tokens in and then sort to get the proper ordering before a fight, or just turn off preserve first turn if you never plan to add more combatants mid round.
