Paladin Knight – Human – Lord Cromther - cromth Game Summary for Sunday Evening (12/20/2020): Opening Scene: It is now 44 days into the adventure (since
setting off in the Belle Venture), and It is now: 6:30 am on September 6 th (Day 41 on the
Isle of Dread). A new day starts after having visiting the public library and
getting Zhora temporarily turned into a chicken by a Yaun-Ti, of which Xilicien
dispelled the magics cast upon her to restore her to former self, the previous day.
The next morning they head back to the main market street in the south east
part of the Forbidden City and mingle with the crowds as they make their way to
a building with a sign indicating it is a wood working shop. Lo Shan tries a handle on the double doors first and it comes open,
revealing a large workshop where several woodworkers are building chairs,
tables and cabinets, a luthier is also building a stringed instrument. The
party enters and browses around the place for a bit then leave. Zhora meanwhile is keeping an eye out for yuan-ti’s, hoping she
spots the one that turned her into a chicken. The party moves to a building across the street, into a section
of the street that has 30 ft tall pillars lining it on both sides holding up a
roof overhead. The roof and some of the pillars look new. This building looks a
bit run down. Lo Shan tries to open the double doors and it opens easily. The
hallway lined with dust and a few old foot prints can be seen. The hall goes
for 35 ft to an intersecting hall before continuing another 35 ft to another
set of double doors. Lo Shan moves to the intersection then goes west 65 ft to a
double door at it’s end and checks it for traps, not finding one, rolling 77%
and needing ≤ 40%. Lo Shan tries the handle
and it opens slightly at first, so he then opens it all the way. It leads back
outside to a side street. Camlin is down the hall, just down from Lo Shan looking at two
sets of double doors 35 ft down from the side entrance doors where Lo Shan is
at. He opens the doors to the south revealing a dusty room with old boxes and
crates of supplies, all covered in dust, mildew, brown and yellow molds. Lo
Shan opened the double doors just north where Camlin entered and it is also a
room of old supply crates and barrels all covered in the dust, mildew and molds
that Camlin saw in the other room. Lo Shan goes down the hall to another set of double doors on the
north and south walls, opening both doors and seeing a similar sight to the
first two storage rooms. The adventures decide not to bother with the stuff in
the supply rooms and move on, going to the building next door, which is the
exotic goods trade building of which they had visited once before and made a
deal with a merchant. Having been there, they decide to keep going down the pillared
cover part of the street to a temple where gnolls are standing guard outside
the entrance doors. Lo Shan asks a guard if they may enter and the guard says, “Yes,
it is open for all, just don’t go looking for trouble.” They enter the temple
and see a service taking place as lizardmen and fire newt guards keep
watch. There is a Yuan-Ti priest at the
altar with two others to either side of it. They then leave the temple and decide to deal with the gnoll
guards outside first then tie each door in front but one with rope. Initiative rolls are made and Combat Round #01 begins, as the
crowd outside either scatter or move away and just watch the fight! [Only hits scored and spells cast shown] Zhora, fires an arrow with her composite short bow at Gnoll #01
hitting for 12 double damage due to a critical roll of 20, defeating the gnoll! Camlin, fires an arrow with the magical Foeseeker +1 long bow
hitting Gnoll #02 for 11 damage! Gnoll #04, slashes Lo Shan for 5 damage with the bardische! Gnoll #02, slashes Lord Cromther for 6 damage with the
bardische! 2 nd Attacks for Round #01: Lo Shan, delivers a vitals punch to Gnoll #04 doing 5
bludgeoning damage and knocking him prone for 3 rounds! Camlin, fires an arrow at Gnoll #04, piercing for 5 damage! Dru, stabs Gnol #02 with his dagger for 7 piercing damage! Lord Cromther, slashes Gnoll #02 for 6 damage with his long
sword (double specialized)! 3 rd Attacks for Round #01: Camlin fires an arrow, hitting Gnoll #04 for 15 damage,
defeating him! Dru, stabs Gnoll #02 for 7 damage with his dagger, defeating
him! Combat Round #02: Camlin, fires and arrow (point blank range 6-30’), piercing
Gnoll #03 for 11 damage! Sheila, cast a Cure Light Wounds spell upon Lo Shan restoring 3
