Weekly Gaming Summary #37: (12/27/2020)

Paladin Knight – Human – Lord Cromther - cromth   Game Summary for Sunday Evening (12/27/2020):   Opening Scene: It is now 44 days into the adventure (since setting off in the Belle Venture), and It is now: 7:45 am on September 6 th (Day 41 on the Isle of Dread).   Things start after the adventurers had just dealt with Gnoll (hyena-men) and Bullywug (frogmen) guards in front of a temple dedicated two to gods, one of them obviously Sertrous the demon lord.   After tying off 3 of the front doors, they walk around to the east side of the temple and see a side double door 75 ft from the front of the temple, which they tie off and continue 70 ft east along the south of the residence building. Turning the corner going north, and 25 ft away guarding another double door is two more gnoll guards at their post in front of double doors.   One of the guards inform the party to stay back as panicked merchants informed them there was a fight out front and didn’t want any more trouble.   Zhora tries to tell them they have a wounded yaun-ti lord with them and to follow them but the gnolls would not budge. Most of the party turns around and leaves while Lo Shan stayed, prompting the guard to say, “You there, in the hat, what are you loitering around for? Move along now!”   Lo Shan goes to his mates, but they return with weapons drawn an a fight breaks out!   Initiative rolls are made and Combat Round #01 begins! [Only hits and spells casts are shown to save space]   Dru stabs Gnoll #06 for 6 piercing damage with his dagger!   Xilicien, casts the Magic Missiles spell sending two each to both Gnoll #05 & #06 guards for 6 and 7 total damage!   Camlin, fires an arrow from his magical Foeseeker +1 long bow dealing 7 damage at point blank range of 6 to 30 ft, to Gnoll #6, defeating him!   Sheila, pounds Gnoll #05 with her magical +2 Footman’s mace for 10 damage!   Lo Shan, smacks Gnoll #05 with his 3-piece-rod for 5 bludgeoning damage, defeating him!   End of Combat!   Zhora uses more rope to tie off the side doors here.   The continue around the temple and connected residence building, noting windows but no doors until they reach the opposite side where 75 ft south another double door is but no guards outside. So this door is tied off as well.   The adventurers go back around to the front and to the one double door they did not tie shut and enter the temple ready for battle!   Combat Round #01! Poison Dusk Lizard Man #01, tosses a bola at Lo Shan and it wraps around his arms, causing 3 damage and immobilizing him for 1 round!   Dru, stabs Lizard Man #03 for 7 damage with his dagger!   Lizard Man #03, stabs Lord Cromther with his long spear for 7 damage!   Xilicien, centers his Confusion spell upon a Deathwalker native #03, which has a 60 ft x 60 ft cubed area of effect. Four Deathwalker couples are sitting in the pews, two fire newts and 1 gnoll are in the spell’s area.   Rolls (1d100) are made to determine the type of confusion this round and each will get a save against it when it’s their turn. The spell will last 9 rounds.   2 nd Attacks for Round #01: Dru, stabs, Lizard Man #03 for 5 damage with the dagger!   Lo Shan, does a kung fu head kick that does 8 damage and stuns Lizard Man #03 for 1 round!   3 rd Attacks for Round #01: Dru, stabs, Lizard Man #03 for 7 damage with the dagger!   Camlin’s arrow hits for 11 damage to Lizard Man #02!     Combat Round #02!   Lizard Man #01, fires an arrow with his long bow at Dru for 2 damage!   Dru, stabs the stunned Lizard Man #03 for 6 damage with the dagger!   Lizard Man #04, stabs Lord Cromther with his long spear for 3 damage!   Lizard Man #02’s arrow from the long bow, hits Dru for 6 damage!   Lord Cromther, slashes the stunned Lizard Man #03 for 4 damage, defeating him!   Lizard Man #01, shakes off the effects of the Confusion spell with a successful saving throw!   Xilicien, casts the Magic Missiles spell, all four force missiles hit the Deathwalker Native #04, for 11 total damage!   Sheila, pounds Lizard man #04 for 5 damage with her magical +2 footman’s mace!   Camlin’s arrow, strikes Lizard Man #02 for 13 damage!   Gnoll #08’s arrow from his short bow, hits Zhora for 4 damage!   Deathwalker #02, fumbles his attack with the short spear, slipping and falling stunned for 2 rounds1   Deathwalker female #01, makes here saving throw against the confusion spell, snapping out of it!   Deathwalker #04, stabs Sheila for 2 damage with the short spear!   2 nd Attacks Round #02: Dru, stabs Fire Newt #06 with his dagger for 7 damage!   Lord Cromther, slashes Lizard Man #04 for 7 damage!   Lo Shan, pounds Fire Newt #06 for 8 damage with the Iron Fist move!   Dru, stabs Fire Newt #06 for 6 damage with the dagger!   Gnoll #07’s arrow from the short bow strikes Zhora for 2 damage!   Gnoll #08’s arrow from the short bow strikes Zhora for 2 damage!   Lizard Man #02’s arrow from the long bow strikes Dru for 6 damage!     Combat Round #03: Fire Newt #04, slashes Sheila for 2 damage with the falchion sword!   Fire Newt #06, slashes Lo Shan for 4 damage with his falchion sword!   Dru, stabs Fire Newt #06 for 7 damage with the dagger!   Lizard Man #02’s arrow, strikes Dru for 4 damage!   Yaun-Ti Half-blood priest #01, runs through a side door, to exit the temple!   Lord Cromther, slashes Lizard Man #04 for 9 damage with the long sword!   Xilicien, casts the Melf’s Minute Meteors spell at Gnoll #10, sending 5 of 7 for 21 damage, defeating him!   Sheila moves to cast the Cure Serious Wounds spell upon Dru, restoring 9 hit points!   Camlin’s arrow strikes Lizard man #02 for 11 damage!   Lizard Man #02’s arrow strikes Zhora for 6 damage!   Zhora, cuts down Lizard Man #04, with the two-handed sword for 10 damage, defeating him!
