Yes it's completely free. I'll provide some more information.... We will be playing D&D 5e, voice chat is required, video is optional. Since it's a one-shot, I'm not too precious about character builds, use pointbuy, standard array, or rolling for stats. Whatever you want. The game is at 8pm, Monday night GMT, but I'd like anyone joining to setup, or at least agree their character beforehand. I'd like all players to join a temporary discord channel beforehand, just to help with game arrangements, share pictures, sheets, links etc. Players don't need to have ANY knowledge of how to play, the game is meant to be quite lighthearted. The adventure will take place in the Forgotten Realms in the city of Waterdeep. They will be waking up with a hangover and a bit of a debt to pay off due to a failed 'bet' from the night before. Whilst characters don't need any sort of deep history considered, I'll be asking players to reveal what their characters were doing in Waterdeep, and how they ended up in the tavern the previous night. ... A little about me too! I'm James, from the UK and I've been playing for about 4 years. Originally face-to-face with close friends. Until then I'd only heard of D&D from the typical stereotypes in movies and I was really pleasantly surprised when I actually started reading about it with how 'tactical the game can be) and how lovely it can be when mixed in with some roleplay, puzzles and exploration ...
