Thinking of developing an app to roll physical dice on roll20

I wanted to ask the community what they would think of a phone app that used the camera to read and automatically input physical rolls of the dice into roll20. It is something myself and a few friends would be interested in.

It sounds like a fun toy, but in practice, would probably just slow the game down. Even though I miss rolling physical dice, it is way too convenient to click my character sheet and have those digital dice roll instantly. It's part of the draw to a virtual table top. I think applying custom patterns to the 3D dice is more needed.
