Restrict token movement.

I'll make this simple. I have a Full daylight map. I want to stop players moving their tokens on top of buildings/trees etc. How do i do this? Please note i have tried using dynamic lighting and restricting movement and while it does restrict movement, it makes the tress or buildings black/unseen. So this is not desirable. Thanks M

You can turn off the "enforce line of sight" dynamic lighting option so the rooves and trees are still visible, or you could reveal the whole map with the reveal tool. The second option will have the blocked areas faded out, but you can do cool stuff like this example of building interiors.
I seem to remember that if you use the circular movement/light  restriction tool it doesn't block the light just the movement. It was proposed that you use it in elliptical form for windows and barred openings where you want to see through but not allow movement. Should work in your case though for a roof you may need an ellipse on each edge. I guess for small objects a single circle would be sufficient to indicate you can't move there.
Mel is correct. I found out that you could use the Elipitcal form for see through barriers. The Roll20 team told me it was a glitch they plan to patch and make a setting for view-through barriers, so the Circle Trick may not be viable for long. One key note is that the players can enter through the Bottom-Left of the circle, so you may need to "squish from top to bottom" the circle. That way, if players make it INTO the circle by accident, they can't get out of the circle since the top half will stop movement as well.

thanks for the replies guys. Yeah the elipses are a hassle and it doesn't really work. i had to have 6/8 elipses on my building to block it out but then the player could get inside the elipses from may points anyway. i think if you rotate them the bottom left entry moves. Anyway bottom line is its rubbish, so wont be using it... does roll20 have a schedule where they indicate when the invisible walls will be developed/released (i couldnt find anything)?
