character sheet is minimized whenever I click to add a magic item/cant add magic items

Hi, thanks in advance.  Please help, im certain this is some silly setting on my end. But my player can add the items to his sheet just fine, while if I try to do it the sheet instantly minimizes, just like it always happens when you open a new window and click away from it. Icannot add magic items to the character sheet because of this. Please help me understand.  I have a few other functionality pieces like this such as whenever I "X" out of(close) a handout, subsequently I cannot open that handout again without clicking F5 or reconnecting.  I know its functioning incorrectly but I am unable to navigate the help forums effectively enough to remedy it. If you could help me with that second issue also I would so totally appreciate it.

You can't drag/drop items to a sheet that is popped out in its own window.  It still needs to be embedded in the vtt for that to work properly.  You need to uncheck the option to automatically pop out sheets in your game settings.  There will be a button on the sheet to pop it out from there if you wish. The handout issue sounds like something that was introduced with a somewhat recent chrome update.  You can avoid popping out the handouts, use Firefox, or possibly use a different version of Chrome.

looks like that switch fixed my handout problem as well.  thank you.  Hey, do you know why my DMs guide doesnt show up in the same spot as my players handbook and monstermanual, in the miscelaneous tab, in the info tab?  its kind of wonky, the way I have to find these books ive purchased. I can post this separatly in a more appropriate subject catagory if this is not in your wheelehouse. thanks agian.

I don't play 5E, so I'm not familiar with how adding compendium books goes.  This is probably the forum for the question, but if you don't get a response in this thread, you might start a new one with a more applicable thread title.

The stupid trick worked, and also gave me much needed insight. That I didnt realise copy and pasting the links into a handout was an option, is telling of my lack of understanding, and now that I know, the world is a better place. Thank you.
