Stuck on "Loading" Screen

May 02 (13 years ago)
When I first got the link from my GM, I was able to create my account and access the campaign fine. But now, whenever I use the link. I'm stuck at a solid black screen with the Roll20 Logo and a giant "LOADING..." that seems to be infinite. I've tried waiting for it to eventually load, as well as just refreshing. Even trying different campaign links. According to the GM, my account isn't logged it, but when I go to the forums, or press the 'Exit Game' it shows that I am still logged in.

Anyone experience something similar?

EDIT: I've tried using two different browsers, as well as restarting my rig and clearing cache/cookies/etc.

Happening to me as well.

I'm having the same thing happen. Tried it in both Firefox and Chrome for my own campaign and as trying to play in my buddy's campaign, but I was still stuck on the loading screen, didn't matter how many times I refreshed it. I'm pretty sure I'm up to date on Flash, but I'm gonna go make sure now.

Looking into this. Sorry for the hiccup.

Hm. Being up to date on Flash would not be the issue here. Can any of you give me stats from http://supportdetails.com/?

I just created a new Campaign in Chrome as a GM and invited myself through my player account on Firefox and it seems to be working...

Sweet, thanks. I'm up to date for sure on Flash now and it hadn't fixed it if that helps any. I'm using Firefox 11.0, Windows XP, and Flash is version 11.2.202.

It would be super helpful if one of you could open up the Developer Tools in Chrome when it happens and let me know if there are any error messages showing up in the Error Console. They would be in Red.

Error console is just the tab labelled console, right? This is what I got:
2Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL http://app.roll20.net/editor from frame with URL http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/DXXXFsjUDVI?rel=0&showsearch=0&hd=1&modestbranding=1&showinfo=0. Domains, protocols and ports must match.

Hmmm...that's just the Youtube video trying to load. I get that error as well and it's still working. Well, I will keep investigating further. Sorry for the trouble. Try holding Shift when you click reload in Chrome as well.

Tried that just now, still no dice. I'm in no specific hurry, I'm sure you gents have your hands full today.

Sorry to keep asking you to do super-technical stuff, but can you follow those Chrome instructions and take a look at your Network tab and let me know if you see anything that's not getting loaded (again, it would be in red)?
May 02 (13 years ago)
Its not in red, but the gamma.firebase.com/roll20, still reads as "Pending" and has 0B of 127B. Everything else looks fine

I'm getting the same errors.
Here is my network tab.

Nothing red.

Yeah, that should just be Firebase connecting via Websocket. Perhaps the Websocket connection is getting blocked? (Although if so, it should re-connect via long polling...). I will put together a quick test case so we can figure this out.

Can you visit this address and tell me what you see?

I see Testing...

Okay, that's definitely the issue, then. You should see "Testing...It worked!" if you are getting a valid connection. I will see if I can come up with a temporary fix.

Only thing I saw in red on the network tab was this. Couldn't get anything out of the jsfiddle, all it had was "Testing..." with a blank page under the header bar.

Thanks, Andrew. It's definitely an issue with establishing a WebSocket connection. I'm working on a fix now.

Hey guys, do me *one* more favor (we're almost to the bottom of this!) A combo of the last two things: run this (new) test case, and copy+paste or screenshot your Error Console output:

http://jsfiddle.net/LFmrv/2/embedded/result/

It should give me a lot more info on exactly what's going on.

Just checked the Roll20 editor now that it said worked for testing in the jsfiddle, still the same sad story with both Firefox and Chrome.

It should be live within the next 10 minutes. Let me know in about that time if it's working for you. Again, you may need to shift-reload to get the changes.
