18 Highsun Reinforcements! As  Ruckus ,  Uklah , and  I  paused for breath outside the cave (it does reek in there), we were approached by several newcomers from Hope. The hulking  Fergal  has been a valued companion before and I’m sure he’ll be useful in the push further into the caves. He’s accompanied by a couple of new faces. The fierce looking  Coatl  reminds me of home and of my time training. He has a sturdy look to him despite the scales!  Three Point O  is sone sort of construct I guess… She (as indicated by herself) is such a curious creature. She doesn’t seem to have emotions and yet does seem to want them, or to understand them at least. I wish I was was more learned so that I could better understand these people, I will just have to rely on Bahamut that their intentions are pure. Accursed goblin trickery. We pushed through the caves until we found a blind goblin called Haycrisp (who had a pet giant spider…). Remembering the teachings of Bahamut, I spoke with them in an attempt to avoid unnecessary    bloodshed. I’m not sure some of the newcomers are ready for a spider that size! Haycrisp sent us off down the Northward tunnel as he claimed that was the way the girl had been taken. We arrived into a cave that seemed to contain a large (broken) egg. It feels like a dragon egg, but I’ve gathered up what pieces I can to try and get them analysed. We were ambushed though, some small insects and a giant purple worm that lunged out of the water. I managed to put my self between it and the others, although it did sneak around and land a telling blow on  Coatl ! He kept his feet though (thanks to healing magics from  Three Point O ), he’s a tough one alright! Eventually, we managed to dispatch the creatures,  Uklah  and  Three Point O  with some deadly ranged blows. Our “plan” now seems to be to head back down the tunnel making dying sounds in an attempt to lure any goblins back this way into our trap… I’m writing this now in case I die of embarrassment at the stupidity of this… I know I wasn’t the smartest student, but the teachers would laugh at some of these suggestions. Bahamut bless them for their heart though! Alas, we have still not found Daise. Pushing through the tunnels (the goblins didn’t fall for our “cunning plan”) we were ambushed by a group lying in wait. While the giant spider harassed our flank, many goblins rained arrows upon me at the front of the line. I may have warned them by stumbling heading through a trap (I must keep practicing my observation skills).  Ruckus  managed to slay the spider while  Coatl  was knocked down by the lying Haycrisp. I managed to slay the goblin and drag  Coatl  to safety while  Fergal  ran to the front to guard us. Their leader, Rotnose, offered a parley and I figured it would be a good way to potentially avoid any more risk to the party. I knew it wasn’t likely to go well (based on the earlier deceit of Haycrisp) but looking at the wounds the team had taken, it seemed worth trying. I had planned to go alone, so they could fly if things turned against us but I hadn’t factored their stubbornness and bravery. What stalwart allies! They followed me in (with  Coatl  even dumping some healing prayers upon me!) and the goblin’s trap was set…    and was sprung after a frustrating attempt to discuss thing reasonably. I will admit, it looked dire for a period, Rotnose seemed tough and was inspiring his little war band to great effect.  Fergal  dashed in to try and gore Rotnose and we were beset on all sides.  Three Point O  turned the tide though! Conjuring an elemental being, it tore through the goblins until it managed to grapple Rotnose.   He offered a deal in exchange for sparing his life. He would tell us where to find Daise if we agreed to let him go. He swore he’d leave the area and head to Fort Harrow. While I have little trust in him keeping his word, I have a responsibility to try and rescue Daise. Bahamut teaches us to show mercy to our foes and to let our honourable deeds be an example… I begrudgingly agreed to his terms…. he confirmed that Daise had been moved to Ragemaw Keep (across the river and SW 6 miles then W 6 more miles) where she is due to be scarified to a dragon in a few days! We are heading back to Hope now. We left Rotnose with the Elemental guarding him so that we could leave without fear of a trap. I do not know if it is the right choice, but I hope that the other trust my judgement on this and understand why I made the deal… they are good allies and I can see that allowing him to live was not an easy thing to accept. Wise Bahamut, why do I feel so troubled suddenly…?
Day 01100011 01100001 01110100 Arrival in Hope Town. Accommodations = secured. Such accommodations are not necessary for rest, but for item storage and alone space sufficient for repairing my gear mechanisms in privacy. Accommodations Name = Stuck Pig Fascinating. The tavern below is very busy. Lots to observe. Humanoids love to ingest mild poison for entertainment. I must study this more. Humanoid Beast Minotaur Fergal approaches and asks for help. Fergal learns of my healing talents. Apparently "young woman" in need of rescuing. Perfect for observation. INITIATE QUEST SEQUENCE Fergal also gathers new beast person Coatl who looks like large lizard man. 3.0 purchases necessary supplies and we head out towards cave to rescue human girl Daise . Unsure why Daise needs rescuing. Do these creatures not practice natural selection? Maybe she is a child or a lover? Unclear. Now I am at primitive campsite. Others are ingesting dead frogs. The smell is interesting. Day 01100110 01100101 01100101 01110100 00001010 Outside entrance to goblin cave are 3 other humanoids. Uklah , Ruckus , and First Friend Alexandria . Uklah is also a lizard humanoid but a different type of lizard humanoid. First Friend Alexandria is a half human half elf. Interesting that these species like to breed considering the differences in life expectancy. Only Uklah seems to call the half-elf half-human "First Friend". Unsure if this is an official title or what this title means. I shall use it until the data proves incorrect. Ruckus is a dwarf humanoid but appears to think he is an elf. Unsure whether he experienced head-injury or has mild psychosis. More research necessary. Ruckus very concerned about goblins in walls so keeps touching walls. I also touch walls just in case. I do not touch any goblins. First two rooms are clear. The others have already killed the goblins. Satisfactory conclusion. In second room we find many items. I am given a large yellow crystal. I identify it as containing a rare Earth Golem. They said "in emergency break glass". I kept it for emergency and instituted EMERGENCY BREAK GLASS PROTOCOL. We continued East through door and met goblin with large spider. Goblin has damaged eyes and is unable to see. Unsure why they were not repaired. Goblin name is Haycrisp and goblin clan name is Burning Ones. Unsure why goblins use name "Burning Ones" because nothing is on fire. More research necessary. Haycrisp goblin says dragon used to live here. Dragon name is Ragemaw . They sacrificed Daise human to Ragemaw but she will be eaten in two days time (Day 01110100 01110111 01101111). Unclear why the dragon has not eaten Daise human already. Dragon left with Daise human because now dragon is too big for cave. Dragon must be very large in size. Exact size = unclear. Haycrisp goblin points to tunnel where we can check for Daise human. We follow down tunnel into deep cave with water and are attacked by 3 very large worms. Worms are vicious but I help kill largest one. Outcome = satisfactory. In water we see dead humanoid body. Uklah and 3.0 dive deep and swim to see body, It is a humanoid, but Uklah's data informed us that it is not Daise human. It has been dead for too long. Unsure how she can tell but data appears trustworthy. I re-wind my memory scrolls to analyze Haycrisp goblin voice and facial expression. Analysis confirms Haycrisp is lying. We all make screaming and dying noises so goblins will come to pick our body pockets. First Friend Alexandria goes upstairs but no goblins come down. Plan = failure. Party heads upstairs and discovers secondary passage. In passage party is attacked by goblins and large pet spider. I use all spell slots for healing purposes. DANGER DANGER. Large goblin leader Rotnose offers to make a deal with party. Sensors unable to tell if Rotnose is truthful. We all enter large cave. Rotnose analyzes party group, assesses injuries, and calculates number of opponents. Data shows him that we are weak and easily beaten. He decides to kill party. Outcome = BAD. INITIATE BREAK GLASS PROTOCOL. I released Earth Golem to smash goblins. All goblins die easily except Rotnose . Rotnose refuses to surrender even when all other goblins dead and Earth Golem is here. Impressive. After approximately 5 minutes Rotnose surrenders. INITIATE QUESTIONING SEQUENCE. Human Daise is in Ragemore Keep . From current location cross river SW 6 miles, then 6 miles west. Here is crumbling keep. Crumbling keep = Human Daise . First Friend Alexandria agrees to let him live as long as party can leave the cave safely. 3.0 thinks plan = BAD. Rotnose promise = BROKEN. Our promise also = BROKEN. 3.0 does not want to let Rotnose goblin live. Rotnose goblin = BAD. 3.0 suggests we leave and Earth Golem watch Rotnose goblin. Earth Golem disintegrates in approximately 42.8 minutes and Rotnose Goblin will be free to leave. First Friend Alexandria and others agree with plan protocol. 3.0 programs Earth Golem to kill Rotnose approximately 37.5 minutes after we leave. Mission = SUCCESS. Rescue = IN PROGRESS. I receive gift of stick. Stick allows transfer of damage from me to another humanoid ally. Must ask permission before using stick. Will update when receive more data. 01100101 01101110 01100100
hahahahahaahaha - love this
Oh, father... It's getting more and more suitable place for me. It seems like my muscles, glaive and horns finally are going to be used more frequently and soon maybe on some worthy opponents. Regrouping at the Cave I've heard in the viullage that there's a group of adventurers in need of imidiate backup so I've gathered few adventurers that looked competent enough and rushed to aid awaiting us already Ruckus and two other adventurers quite famous in Hope - lizardfolk Uklah and halfelf Alexandria . They didn't seem wounded by any means so after quickj briefing, we've made our way inside. Bloody Goblins! First few chambers has been cleared by the previous squad but they didn't loot it so we did it for them. Pressing on, we've encountered an old goblin named Haycrisp with his pet giant spider (I'm not even asking anymore). He told us that if we want to find the girl that we came to rescue, we should go through the northern tunnel but if there's one thing I've learned, it's to never trust goblins. That old fart lured us into the trap but thankfully it wasn't much of a challenge for us and we came out of the fight barely scratched. What was there that was bringing fear into my heart was recently hatched egg of what've later discovered is a red dragon that goblins serve. The call him Ragemaw . It's not a laughing matter. It's a damn dragon after all! We've chased down that bastard that dared to lie to us about the right way and yet another fight started. We've killed both him and his pet, when goblin chief from a different chamber shouted to stop fighting and start talking since there's no need for a bloodbath. But once again another bastard tried to fool us. He had no intend to let us take what we came for and leave. They were clearly hostile so after we've noticed that there's no point in negotiations, the hell broke loose yet once again. Lower rank goblins were falling like flies but that chief wasn't easy to pin down. he put up quite a fight but eventually we've beat him and questioned him. The Aftermath We had to comply to let goblin chief free in exchange for informations. We've established that Daise (the girl we are looking for) has been transported to the Ragemore Keep where she's supposed to be sacrtificed to Ragemaw . For now we're falling back to Hope to spread the word to others in case we won't make it back from the rescue mission so others can try their best and bring that poor soul back to her loving father.
