Firearm Proficiency

Hi I bought the DMG and the compendium has updated to include Pistol/Laser Pistol/etc, but there is no Rules section for "Firearm Proficiency", so essentially there is nothing to drag and drop to make my character proficient in Firearms. Is this a bug, an oversight or is there a reason for it? It is easily fixable but I'm curious why the DMG has been added and not this. Thanks in advance to anyone with answers.

No insight as to why, other than likely it being an oversight. But if you want to bring this to a dev's attention, the best bet is to file a  Help Center Request . This will create a ticket for the issue. Posting in forum is not likely to be visible to the dev team.
