Tokens on token layers faded if not controlled by GM?

So my players tokens apear very faded to me if I set it that I do not have control of them. (See how Vasili and Ireena tokens are not faded as I have control of them in the screenshot below). They also disapear if I increase the GM overlay opacity. I had a separate issue with players being able to see all the maps faded as if they were explored already when I had control of all their tokens. Taking myself off their tokens fixed that but now I would like to be able to fully see their tokens on my view. This also makes it so I cannot see them at all in the player view. Is there any fix or middle ground to this?
