I recently got hold of the core rules along with the quick start rules. Looking through the games list I couldn't find anyone doing a Shadowrun game and was curious to see if anyone would be willing to give it a bash if I ran a small intro game.
I would very much like to play Shadowrun, I haven't played it at all yet and don't understand the rules much at all, but I'm in a one-off on the upcoming Sunday. Pre-gens is great, I can barely create a character with herolabs.
Great! I have met another guy in another thread that is interested. I am just finishing reading the bumf for the beginner game. Then I am gonna quickly throw the campeign together. I am aiming for sat or sunday this weekend, around 22:00GMT - 23:00GMT. I am just waiting to see of a Edge of the Empire game is running this weekend. If it can't be this weekend coming then it will be the sat and sunday of the 12th and 13th at the same times.
HOI CHUMMERS! I am going to be setting the game up for this coming Sunday (6th) at 21:00GMT (My wife is going back to work after maternity leave so this is the first available day I have to run it). This will be a beginner game using the simplified rules found in the quick start rule PDF (A freely available PDF from Catalyst). This will be not only the first time I have GM's a game on Roll20.net but also the first time I have GM'd a game in general. I hope to GM more games if people find the experience enjoyable. My main aims for the game are: To introduce people to the 6th World and to Shadowrun in general. To be open and entertaining to the group of runners. To just have fun! I will contact people who are interested via PM. Though there are only 4 availabel PC slots I am happy for other people to come along and sit back and enjoy the game. Also if the game proves popular I am happy to run again on another day. James.
HOI CHUMMERS! Still looking for 2 more PC slots in the upcoming game this Sunday at 21:00GMT. My friend graciously gifted me a copy of the Shadowrun 5th edition Digital Tools Box. So I have amended the beginners game from the Quick-Start Rules found on the official SR website to the adventure in the Tools Box. There is also scope for far more adventures with the pregenerated characters found in the box rather than the characters in the freely available QSR as it comes with lots more content. If people enjoy the game I will help players progress to core rules. :)
Is this going to be a one shot game? If so I am interested. I did the math wrong initially when changing the game time to my time zone and unfortunately the time is slightly too early for me.
One shot to start with. If people are interested and want to continue I am happy to continue the game using the pregens in the box until we hit the point we need to transition to the core rules. :) No probs. :) I know been GMT might throw some people off.
No thats fine. I am a new GM in general so it will be my first time in the capatins chair, so to speak. So once we get a handle on things I we will breeze through it :) Sorry Chance looks like the slot just got taken. I didn't notice a PM had come through form someone wanting to join because I got 5 notifications at the same time. but by all means still ocme into the group and have a chat with us. :)
