Mobile browser use and Xbox browser use help

Hello! I recently got into tabletop and even more recently got into online table top, my issue lies in the fact we are using Roll20 (obviously) and I don't have any sort of pc or tablet. Only my phone's browser (a newer one with good processing) and my Xbox one with Microsoft Edge. After poking around a bit I found that the respective devices work with roll20, but I don't know how well. I just wanted to hear from a user who has been in my position or who has information on the matter on how well they work respectively and what I can/cannot do. Yes, understand that the program is not meant for use on these devices but it's all I got, so if your reply is "I don't know" or "Just get a tablet/PC" as I've seen on a few other posts, please try and keep that opinion to yourself. I'm just trying to make the best of my current situation. (I will be a player and we are allowed to have our character sheets and dice rolls in person as we run a trust system). Thank you for any helpful information and tips! (I have a free account)
Roll20 doesn't really work well on a tablet (and I would guess by extention a phone), i've tried it on my IPad and really struggled with it.  One thing that did improve it was using Chrome not Saffari, Roll20 does recommend Chrome or Firefox, I will also say that i've also had problem with it when trying to run it through Edge.  I don't know anything about the Xbox, but would it be possible to install Chrome or Firefox as well as Edge and try using Roll20 through that.
I ran a play-by-post game a while and often on my (older) iPhone using the roll20 web-page. It has severe limitations, as you can basically only access the chat window. The VTT and the character sheets are largely non-functional. However if you can use a mouse with your phone that could help a lot, I've tried using an iPad and a mouse and that is semi-functional. Assuming you are a player I there are a couple of things you and your GM could set up to make this workable, even without a mouse - you could also set up a dummy account that the GM adds to the game and grants "vision". If you log into this account on the xbox and use it to view the maps and whatever the GM puts on the VTT. You could then use your phone to make rolls and other commands from the chat. Accessing the character sheets might be difficult though. - if your GM has a pro account (and is prepared do some extra work to set it up) there are a number of api-scripts that can help you control your character from the chat. In my game I used Universal Chat Menus, but depending on the game there are more options. Most of the character sheet should be accessible from API in one form or another and you can probably also use chat commands to move the token with the right API setup. As for voice/video chat you could use Discord or another app outside of Roll20 or perhaps use the "dummy" account on the xbox for this if possible.
I've used a usb-c hub, (about $25 but i've seen them cheaper), that had an hdmi and a few usb ports (for mouse and keyboard). I Plugged the hdmi into a tv (you'll need a cord too maybe 5 bucks?). I used Chrome browser and in the settings switched to desktop site and it worked for me. For better performance get a hub that also has an ethernet port and plug it into your modem. I'm assuming since you have a newer phone that it's usb type C. The Phone was a galaxy s8. Hope this helps.
