Looking for a (paid?) DM + players for at least one session – Wife’s birthday present

My wife will celebrate her birthday soon, but due to Covid there’s nowhere I can take her to. About her: * Early 40s * Very little experience with RPGs (a long time ago) * Likes escape rooms and board games About me: * Did a little DnD and Call of the Cthulhu ca. 25 years ago. I’m looking for a session that takes place (ideally) on a Friday or Saturday around the middle of February. We’re in the CET time zone. It would be good to have a couple of other players besides us. I always liked Call of the Cthulhu and I suspect my wife would also prefer something like that over a rules-heavy high fantasy setting. But an experienced and beginner-friendly DM as well as welcoming fellow players would be far more important than the particular game we are playing. Lots of asks, so I’m happy to pay if necessary.
Hey bud, I'd love to host a game for you and your wife. I've been looking to run more Call of Cthulhu, perhaps a horror based oneshot themed around what she likes? I'll send you a PM with my information and see if you're up for that!
I do not wish to spam your topic and I tend to write too much than too little so I have sent you a PM Jeroen, I have done a birthday session before very similar to this and relish the opportunity to do so again! =) And naturally happy birthday to your wife!
That sounds awesome! It would be my privilege! DM me, and let's talk!
I run a weekly noob game for D&D 3.5 so I'm good at explaining things to new players and easing them into the game. I'll stick the link to that in here as a reference. https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/127929/noobling-grotto I have a large player base (20+) players so finding some extras to play with shouldn't be a problem. I'm free all day on Saturdays but I have a game Friday nights at 6-10 pm MT. I can run modules or custom content, your choice but I only run D&D 3.5 so if that's a deal-breaker, I'm sorry I've wasted your time. Check out my profile on here or StartPlaying and let me know if you're interested. https://startplaying.games/game-master/taibhsear-dm-extraordinaire
For really easy-to-learn-and-play systems, you could go for Cthulu Dark (keeping with the tentacled overlord theme) or Lasers and Feelings (more sci-fi oriented but super-simple). I'm not necessarily volunteering here (admit that I'm not super-experienced as a GM) but they're definitely simple to pick up. There are also a whole load of one-page RPGs by a chap called Grant Howitt which are super easy from the players' point of view but the GM would need to devise scenarios as usual.
