Facing Mortality

We gathered our strength and entered the portal. The maddening realm of Xoriat is as crazy as the archives say. In the empty abyss, floating on a platform, we found a hate full of hate. It's difficult to explain, but it was literally hate filled. We continued our journey deeper into the cave at the end of the walkway. Whispers filled our ears attempting to drive us mad. At one point, I was drawn to the whispers, telling secrets of the universe, but there was this scream that was in the way, this loud, unrepentant scream that was preventing me from learning anything. It eventually went away. We continued our path into a a place where I feel we need to face our own mortality.
We went through the portal into a strange realm of madness.  We were immediately confronted with a hole that radiated hate.  I've never experienced anything like this before and hope never to again.  Inside a cavern we were ambushed by Umber Hulks who decided they all wanted to attack me.  I held them off while the others were able to finish them off.  We were next attacked by a trio of Behirs  Gnippity was able to polymorph one of them into a snail.  We are now confronted by something that defies definition.   I want to leave this realm behind and get back to where nature makes sense.
