Bonus +10 to social class roll.  Negative -2 Charisma based skills with members of other houses.   Thiala Amakiir:  She stands about 4'9" and is well dressed, but even with her fine clothing she looks run-down and tired. Her right hand appears badly burned and disfigured. Her brown hair is heavily combed to the right. Her brown eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.   She has been the matriarch of her family for several centuries and has tried to maintain the peace.    Thaila loves poetry and to teach people life lessons through poetry more than just about anything. She has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a person enough, they will sell their own mother. Money is her most trusted friend.   She is always looking for her big break to become the head minister of the council.   She openly worships Ubtao, God of creation.   She constantly thinks ahead and often has plans and schemes that are entwined deeply within her dealings.   She seldom talks loudly will intermittently uses terms from a different language as she speaks.    House - Govran Ancient and loyal forever - if there ever was a house full of mirth, it would be house Govran.   This house has always been eccentric.   Their lineage long and pure.   In their line there have been queens and kings of old.   Over the centuries, the house has faded to the background and now watches everything through a smiling façade.   They are fiercely loyal to the crown and openly speak of how much better the empire would be if it returned a straight monarchy.  The rivalry between house Govran and house Fenleth is legendary.   +2 Charisma based skills - Negative -10 Social class. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.   He is very melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers.  Money is his most trusted friend as he was the is the product a well-kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously on various adventures.  Some of these adventures have left their permeant mark upon him.   Instead of being bitter, he instead often reminisces on his past adventures. He inherited the family business of beekeeping which he has now maintained for the past 6 decades.    He doesn't worship any god and often changes subject very often.   Galinndan constantly looks for the loophole to established laws, and he has a story for everything. House Eion - Freedom restored - This is one of the newer noble houses.   This house rose to prominence during the Demon Wars and because of such they have many ties with the royal court of Chattignon Empire.   House Eion was one of the first houses to step forward to defend not only Thechlon but to join in the crusade to fight back the demons in both the human and dwarvish lands.  House Eion joined with House Govran, House   Galanodel , House Morlana, and House Sylxalim to close the Demon's portal.  Bonus Favorite Enemy Evil Outsiders  Favored Enemy (Ex) gains a +2 bonus on Bluff, Listen, Sense Motive, Spot, and Survival checks when using these skills against Evil Outsiders. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward of beauty, she is highly distrustful of outsiders.   She has a complicated piercing on her right ear.    Meriele zealously worships Angharradh, Goddess of spring.    She has a highly variable mood which will switch on a whim.    She is very generous and is always late.   Meriele carries herself well and has a very regal look.    She will often stretch the truth to tell a good story.    House Galanodel -We are and always will be. The house of Galanodel is one of the oldest established noble houses among the elves.  The Galanodels have always been either advisors to the reigning monarchs of the elves, members of the High Council, or Speaker for the High council.  They have recently suffered the loss of the head of their family and the eldest daughter has stepped forward to fill the position of council member.  She though is often away adventuring and many wonder if she is well suited for the job. Bonus Free skill Knowledge Arcana, +2 on knowledge Arcana.  negative -2 to survival checks Helerie Galanodel - She is the current head of this ancient noble family.   This family has long been the voice of reason within the council.   Helerie has recently been granted the position of council member to fill the vacancy her father's death has caused.   Her passion for adventures though often keeps her away from the empire, thus her position is often neglected.   House Gwanwyn Fire of our hearts -   they were one of the last houses to band together during the Demon Wars.  It was not until the Demon armies turned their attention towards Thechlon that House Gwanwyn rose and helped defend the empire.   The house has always been very cautious.   They will staunchly stand beside any cause that they have taken up, the problem is they it takes a while for something to inspire them.   Bonus Uncanny Dodge Negative -2 initiatives Theren Gwanwyn - A well-shaped elf just a tad over middle aged elf.  He usually dresses in black turtlenecks beneath a blue coat with black slacks. His dark long auburn hair is greasy and uncared for. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet fencing helmet he often takes with him.    When he is not wearing his black fencing helmet, he will wear a very intricate dark mask.    Those that have seen his face say that is highly scarred and one of his eyes are missing.  He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people that try to outdo him for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist, he will grow angry at them.   He loudly worships Corellon, he is impatient, and cowardly.   He often acts like he is totally oblivious to etiquette and social expectations.    When he was younger before his accident, he was a very well-known champion fencer.    If he feels that he has been wrong, he will often challenge to offender to a non-lethal fencing match.

House Gwenledyr - Faith carries us, faith protects us -   No other house has produced as many Paladins, Clerics, Favored Souls, or even Monks as House Gwenledyr.  Their house sits as the spiritual center of elvish society.   They believe that the will of the gods is the only way.   Their house has many charities established to help those that not as fortunate.  Several other house will consult with them before pursuing   an endeavor to receive their blessing.   They are rumored to be blessed by the gods for the fervent worship. Bonus they can add half their Charisma bonus to their saves. Minimum 1 - Negative -2 to all gather information rolls and bluff checks.  Does not stack with Divine Grace. Filverel Gwenledy - By just looking at  Filverel's clothes, accessories, and demeanor, you'd guess that he is an elder council member.   Everything about him radiates that he is of the upper class, from his proper educate style to his fashionable clothes.  He has ivory skin and silver almond-shaped eyes.  Filverel is well-educated but has a bit of a temper. He is curious about the world around him and believes it is important to be in touch with nature. He believes it is far better to be kind than to be smart.   To Filverel, everything should be seen through the eyes of one that is penitent and observant of the will of the gods.  House Mathghamhain - Honor without dishonor - there is honor, there is tradition and then there is Mathghamhain.   They are one of the oldest pureblood houses in Thechlon, their proud family boasts everything from warriors, craftsmen to powerful wizards.   The word of House Mathghamhain is their bond.  They do not easily extend their friendship or their ire, but when they do, it is forever until such is broken or reconciled.    The current head of the house is an anomaly, he does not fit the norm of what most think of the noble house.  He enjoys living a rough rowdy life, but he makes sure never to do anything to bring dishonor to the house.   In the past, family members have challenged each other for the position of head of the family via duels.   Therefore, each head understands their position is always under scrutiny. Bonus +2 enchantment and compulsion spells, Negative -2 sleight of hand and Bluff Enialis Mathghamhain - He is wearing a long, blue, dusty cloak. His blonde hair is well kept and worn long and flowing over his shoulders. His eyes are a startling blue that matches his cloak.  Enialis's clothing is the height of extravagance - the finest silks, furs, and jewelry.   He is on of the younger members of the heads of a noble house.   He is though quite intelligent and believes nothing is more precious than wisdom and the abilty to share ideals and beliefs.  He is extremely practical and believes you should be content with what you have.    His family are some the most famous clothiers in Thechlon.  Enialis speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace and will often marvel his audience with his oratory talents.   He is clearly well-traveled and has been spent many years of his education aboard.  Enialis  spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in empire. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers. House Morlana-- Never forget, never forgive - If you want a finely made weapon, you want to go to one of the many shops that House Morlana provides weapons.  If you want a piece of art, a weapon or armor that is priceless, you want to go and beg House Morlana to make one for you.   If you are lucky, you may actually get a custom-made blade from them, after a few centuries of waiting, of course.    All adults of House Morlana are very proficient in the use of the rapier, longsword and dagger.  Those of the house are trained in the art of 2 weapon fighting and two weapon defenses.   Those that have wronged members of the house are blacklisted from ever purchasing their goods.   Many licenses have been revoked from a merchant due to them not upholding a blacklisting.    Members of the house have been known to take back their goods from offenders by force.  Bonus Two weapon fighting and two weapon defenses. Negative -2 to any two-handed melee weapon or using a one-handed two handed or with shield.   Nueleth Herhice - has light brown skin, brown almond-shaped eyes and her straight dark brown hair falls down way past her shoulders.   She believes you can never have too much money and that one must take responsibility for their actions very seriously.    Even though she is very impatient, she always makes time to help other.   Neuleth has very little self-confidence and is very outspokenly xenophobic.   She is a consummate rule-breaker and always does what she has been told not to.  She misses her glory days as a renown athlete. She does not mind her job, but it is boring in comparison. She is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.  She was born the only child of a wealthy family. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage negotiating deals for her house's wares at inflated prices.  House Morvoren Watchers in the shade - If there would be said to be a house shrouded in mystery, it would be House Morvoren.   Little of their history is known beyond they came to prominence during the Dwarven wars and particularly after the Battle of the Trackers' Virtue.   House Morvoren is the only house that openly has links to pirates.  During the war, they tried at first not to join in and instead just protect their own interests, though after certain events they became the most stalwart supporters of the kingdoms.    House Morvoren tends to move through the shadows, their true intent and loyalties are always shrouded.   Those that cross members of the house are usually found dead under unusual circumstances. Bonus +2 to stealth and gather information and negative -2 diplomacy.   Velethuil Morvoren - He has very long, wavy, white hair shaved on the left side and blue eyes.    He has a tiny piercing on his nose, a piercing on his left eyebrow and a small piercing on his left ear.  He constantly fiddles with a coin and believes solitude is better than being part of a group.    Velethuil likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. Velethuil is extremely  greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

There are 10 Greater High Elf Houses:   House Achaius - In unity and freedom - This proud house has long been a stalwart bastion against invasions.  They have often been the first to volunteer not to just man the walls of the city, but spearhead several of the offensive attacks.    House Achaius has spoken openly that the elves should retake not only Trapelia, but Oroford.  A lot of elves do not truly entertain such thought due to causing another dwarven war.   House Achaius thinks that the current Empire could easily defeat the fundamentalist humans of Trapelia and push the dwarves completely out of Oroford. Naeryndam Farralei -   Naeryndam has pale skin and hazel almond-shaped eyes. His wavy dark brown hair falls to his shoulders and he is both  tall and graceful.   Naeryndam is a bit dull-witted.   He believes it is important to be forgiving and to learn new things. He  also believes money is the root of all evil. Naeryndam is a devout follower of the elvish pantheon.  Naeryndam is prone to violence and takes everything at face-value.  He very little love for aristocracy, he sees the ones that make money upon the labor of others without contributing is the most abhorrent of being.    House Alexin - Bound by chains, but now we are free     -  House Alexin is one of the houses that sprung up after the Dwarven wars.   During the war, several elves were taken prisoner and made into slaves of the Dwarven kingdom.   Quite a few members of the founding members of House Alexin were placed in chains and forced to hard labor.   The members of the house rose up , killed the dwarves and freed the other elves that had been prisoners by the dwarves.   They marched back to the elvish land in triumphant and the survivors of the ordeal became House Alexin.   This house is one of the main reasons that slavery was done away within elven lands.   Their hatred of such, since their imprisonment by the hands of the dwarves, has caused House Alexin to become to activist in the outlawing of slavery not only within Thechlon, but aiding other suppressed cultures and races.   Montagor Alexin - Montagor has long, straight, dyed teal hair and golden eyes.   He is always very calm and has a joke for every situation.  He is uncommonly brilliant and believes everyone should try to stand on their own merits.   Montagor values creativity and feels that strife brings out the best in people. He serves the goddess of music, Hanali Celanil. House Eileen Wealth of the Land -  House Eileen is the largest landowners within the Empire.  House Eileen has made their fortune through farming and agricultural.   House Eileen is one of the most laid-back houses and tend not to involve themselves in politics.    This has changed over the years when House Eileen not only have been elevated to membership to the High Council, but they have taken a new interest in the political landscape of Thechlon.   It is rumored that House Eileen is planning something big that they are keeping secret. House Eilzorwyn -- One god, one goal, one people -   Eilzorwyn has often petitioned for the purity of the elvish empire.  They feel that the inclussion of the other races have tainted their purity.    Most of house Eilzorwyn do grudgingly acknowledge that Centaurs, Pegasus, and Unicorns are all of Elf blood, some do not.   The house feels elves rightful place in the scheme of things are the sole reigning race. Tharivol  Eilzorwyn - This elf is very fat compared to other elves, and often wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. His blonde hair is long, his voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.   Tharivol  always seems to be over brimming with self-confidence, Tharivol isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Elven unity. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.  His heavy exterior belies the muscles he hides under his clothes.   He feels that elves are stronger united without tainted blood. House Carfora - None shall be left behind - During the Dwarven war, the Dwarves made it deep inside of elven territory.   The dwarven army was overrunning the elves.   House Carfora stood strong before them.  They swore "None shall be left behind" and they held the line as the elves were able to rally and take their wounded from the battlefield.   House Carfora stood strong as the fey fell back and regrouped, and it was House Carfora that stood strong and held back the dwarven army was when a counterstrike was being formed.  The leaders House Carfora always draws a line upon the ground and that line will represent as far as House Carfora will fall back. That line will represent all the land House Carfora will allow their enemies to siege. House Carfora will refuse to leave to any of their brethren or allies behind.   House Carfora will refuse to ever compromise their morals or their honor.  Bonus Bulwark of Defense (Ex): An opponent that begins its turn in your threatened area treats all the squares that you threaten as difficult terrain. Your strict vigilance and active defensive maneuvers force your opponents to move with care.  Negative They will never strike a flat-footed opponent. Instead, you allow your foe to ready himself before attacking. Thiala, Lady of House Carfora:   She once stepped down from the leadership of the Carfora family, in order to search for herself and what she wanted from her life.     Her search took her to live in the wild, calling nature and the forest her home.    It was there that she met her soon to be lifelong companion, Elen, a splendid specimen of a gray wolf.   Elen and Thiala became inseparable as Thiala continued to learn more about nature, music and the beauty of the wild.    It was here in the peaceful wild, she discovered what her destiny truly was. As a matriarch of a great house, Thiala had power in her hands that could help change the world.     She knew that there were corrupt that always tried to ruin it the world for other, that was partially the reason Thiala had left her home.    She was sick of all of the politics and  since she had stepped down as head of her house, she knew that corruption was running deep with House Carfora. The past was past and she could not changed the choices that she had made, but she could though change the tomorrow.    The Carfora family was experiencing a decline in both grace and power.  Within, those that wanted nothing more than to use the proud name to further their own ambitions existed.   Yet no one seemed to be doing anything to fix the problem.   Thiala  that certain elements wanted her proud house to fail and be removed as a ruling house.     She would not allow this to happen to her House.      Thiala know that what her house had been lacking was a strong figurehead.   The ministers of the house had failed it, now their leadership needed to be challenged.    Where once House Carfora was a bulwark of greatness among the elves, it now was a bunch a spineless naysayers.   Things had to change if the house was to survive. Now Thiala tries to hold her House together through internal strife, financial shortcomings and corruption from within.   The fate of House Carfora rests with Thiala.          Thiala motto:  "We once claimed none shall be left behind.  Now, we are being left behind.   That ends today, we who once held the line against invaders to the empire, shall hold the line to against the descent of our proud house.  No farther shall we go.   We shall stand here and make ourselves known; we are House Carfora.   Today, we shall hold the line." House Annag Deeds not words - House Annag does not believe in making speeches or flowery parades, they believe in deeds.   The house speaks little, but their actions prove their intent.  House Annag believes that the elves should rule through deeds, that what they do is far more important than what they say.   House Annag is ashamed that the elves were not at the forefront of the Demon Wars, and it was the humans that first rallied and even came to their aid.   The actions of such have made House Annag very repentive, they have sworn that is such ever comes again, they will lead the attack.  It was their house that sent out an airship to save Sofona when Alexios informed the council of the attack in the south.   Ever vigilant against attacks and against dishonor, House Annag often reminds other houses that it was the elves, not the humans that held back during the Demon War.  Bonus - _+1 to all attacks   Negative - 2 diplomacy, Bluff, and performance  House Giorsal - In ancestral footsteps we tread.   House Giorsal remembers the old ways.  They remember when the word 'Elf' brought fear to the world.  They remember when humans would make sacrifices to the elves as they would gods.  They remember when elves would ride into villages and the villagers would would offer tribute to the elves so that the elves would not harass them.   House Giorsal remembers the grandeur of the elves and want to return to such.   House Giorsal wants the world to once more fear the elves.  Bonus +2 intimidation to non elf races, -2 diplomacy races.  House Jenif - Fighting forever for honor and truth.   Without Truth, there is only lies.  Without Honor, there is nothing but dishonor.   Without purpose, there is nothing but chaos.   With law, there is nothing but the undisciplined masses.   House Jenif is the metropolitan center of the empire.  It is the first major house after the wood elves domain.  It is here that the festivals are held, and it is here that the largest marketplace is found.   House Jenif represents the law of the land.  It is because of their strict interpretation of the laws and their formidable House Guard that citizens feel safe within their province.  They believe that freedom means the freedom to do things right. Bonus  House Setant - Only the Goddesses Can Bring Salvation  House Setant is the self-proclaimed holy warriors of the Thechlon.  Whereas House Gwenledyr is seen as the religious focal point of the elves, House Setant is seen as the holy crusaders of the elves.   When House Fenleth rallied and brought the wounded back from the battlefield, it was House Setant that held the field battle and watched over their withdraw.    When House Setant takes the field, they will not leave until either they are dead, or their enemy is slain.  The member of House Setant has the lowest life expectancy among elves due to their almost fanatical belief that to die in battle is a guarantee of salvation.   They do not fear death, because death is but one step closer to the glory of the gods. Bonus Feat Diehard Negative - 2 heal skill. House Umelamin - House Umelamin does not have a motto or words.  Their words were stripped from their house centuries ago.  Even though House Umelamin regained prominence, they have not been given back their motto or words.   In a way, Umelamin not having a motto has become their motto.   Feat Skill focus in any class skill  - Negative - 2 in another a class skill

There are 3 Greater Wood Elf Noble Houses.   These 3 houses are the largest of the noble houses by sheer population and diversity.   Two of the houses ( Barabal and    Ulatris)  sit upon the council to represent the interests of the wood elves.  Even though the wood elves hold the least number of seats on the council, the sheer size of their houses and the fact that the three houses protect the borders of the elves gives them a lot of leverage upon the council.   When Thechlon reclaimed land from Trapelea and annexed lands from Oroford, the control of those dominions fell under the Wood Elves.    House Barabal -- Ever the same, ever the different House Barabal at one time stretched as far north as Oroford.  The dwarves fought bravely and forced the elves back to their forests.  When the Battle of the Trackers' Virtue was decided, the dwarves held Oroford, but they lost all the settlements south of Oroford to the elves.    The lands that had once belonged to the dwarves were now elvish lands, including the inhabitants.   Several hundred of thousand Dwarves found themselves under the watchful eye of the empire.  Strangely and to the surprise of the dwarves, the elves welcomed the dwarves into their empire.  All they expected was the loyalty and respect of the dwarves.   This actually took back the various clans that had been ceded into the empire.    The elves were actually smart in doing such, by welcoming the dwarves, they were able not only to gain powerful allies, but also learn more about dwarvish military tactics.   Dwarves now hold lofty positions within the empire.      So, what once a hereditary enemy became staunch supporters of the empire.   The Dwarves of Thechlon think of themselves as full members of the empire and will defend the empire against any and all outsiders, including other dwarves.   Bonus feat Endurance - Negative -2 charisma-based skills non-Thechlon Dwarvish House Sylxalim -- Walking hand in hand - House Sylxalim has an important job, that job is to keep the peace.  Within the domain of House Sylxalim over 80% of the centaurs live, over 90% of all fey folk live, over 2/3 thirds of the wall is maintained.   Because of this, House Sylxalim hardly if ever takes a position on the High Council.   Their Head of House and Captain of the Guard are busy maintaining both the security of the province and the peace between all of the races within Sylxalim.    House Sylxalim walks a thin line between making sure the elves of Thechlon are protected and happy and that all the various races within Sylxalim are kept happy.   Because of this, House Sylxalim has learned to be the most political of house, without being political within the council.  Bonus: Your base land speed increases by 10 feet (if you don't have a land speed, apply the benefit to whichever of your speeds is highest). Negative Subtract 1 from your hit points gained at each level, including 1st (The Character will always gain minimum 1 hit point per level). Sorisana, Lady of House Sylxalim:   Sorisana loves the simple things of the life.    She appreciates art, nature, music, dance and she often let herself be carried away by events.     Thanks to her deep friendship with Alexios, the centaur captain of the Sylxalim guard, she learned how to not only handle a weapon, but to become a master of fencing.    Alexios, the centaur has been her instructor in martial arts and also her closest confidante. Sorisana has managed to combine the art of the sword with dance, creating a lethal mix of decisive and unpredictable thrusts and blows, capable of defeating even the most difficult of enemies. Sorisana's life has had more than its fair share of failures, but thanks to her perseverance, she has overcome personal tragedy and has learned to appreciate the here and now.   She is helpful and friendly to everyone, which leads her to befriend anyone be it human, dwarf, elf, centaur, or fey.  She hardly ever seems out of sorts, grumpy or even unpleasant those around her.  However, she is extremely protective of those she has a deep affection for, such as Alexios and his family, which makes her very dangerous if those she value are wronged.  Sorisana would and has traveled across seas and mountains to hunt down a wrongdoer and kill them.   With enemies she has no mercy. Her blades speak for her. Of the Sylxalim family, she is the most influential, due to her extraordinary fighting ability as well as her innate political sense that she manages to put everyone in agreement, to heal friction, riots with her mere presence.  She is highly respected by her peers and even rivals, due in part to her well-known fairness and that they fear her wrath, as she is able to annihilate an scores of opponents on her own, despite her graceful figure. Sorisana motto is, " I am always ready to aid my friends and to kill my enemies." House  Ulatris   -- Spirits watch over us. House Ulatris was the beginning point of the elvish conquest of the human lands.  House Ulatris is one of the most diverse of Houses.   The province made up of various settlements all under the rule of the nobles of House Ulatris.  Bonus feat- Jack of all trades. Negative - -1 skill points per level.
