Having freed Lylliannes from prison, the Adventurers  made their way back to the Inn to discuss their next steps. Using the remaining hours of the afternoon they had before they were to meet their respective arrangements, Catsi began to think ahead to the night's activies. Desiring to find a way to make their presence as inconspicuous as possible she headed for the Enchanter's shop. Entering, she greeted the male twin and asked if there was anything she could buy that would make her silent. Looking through his item list, Jylien informed they had an Amuled of Silence for 2500gp that, once attuned, emitted a 10ft radiance of silence around the user. Being a little too expensive for Catsi, she asked if there was a way she could borrow the item to which Jylien agreed with a 1000gp returnable deposit if the amulet was returned without damage. Heading back to the Inn, she asked the others if they would help her loan the item; however, the party decided it would be better to purchase it as it's radiance could assist them all if they stayed close together. With each member putting in some coin, Catsi returned to the Enchanter's store with Tados who managed to get an extra 200gp off the total price with his winning charisma. Once returned from purchasing the amulet, Tados told Lylliannes he had the performance song ready for her. Excitedly, the Tiefling lead the Bard to the stables so he could perform it in front of Charlemaines and her together, and waking a sleeping Charlemaines who sluggishly stuck his head over the stable door, Tados broke into his song for them. A low performance roll, unfortunately proved Charlemaines disinterested in the song who loudly yawned at the Bard and returned to his spot to sleep. Feeling for Tados, Lylliannes suggested they try later once Charlemaines was more awake. With those complete, the Adventurers passed the remaining hours back at the Inn until the sixth hour came where they split off into two groups. Jett, Catsi, Tados and Lyllianes went to the Military Encampment, while Bardryn escorted Calico to the Cathedral for his meeting to ensure his safety. Arriving at the Cathedral, Calico looked around for the man he saw ealier that day and finally saw him headed in his direction from a group of four other men, two humans, a Gnome and a Dragonborn. Welcoming him, the man introduces Calico to the other four; the humans Lewellyn and Ulrich, the Gnome, Trav, and the Dragonborn, Arghen - the Head Priest of Sune in Ealinor. The Dragonborn takes control of the meeting with a clearing of his throat, where he informs Calico that he has been watching Cailco healing the poor and spreading the message of Sune. He wants the Drow to carry an item of importance on their behalf. Looking to Bardryn for help, she tells them that they already have a very urgent task that needs to be completed and asks them what they require. The Dragonborn tells them that they need Calico to carry a religious item to the Sorcerers at the Ambar Tower; an item that will temporarily take the place of the Heart Sphere until it can be recovered and placed back in its resting place. Seeing as the request is associated with their current task she says they will help, keeping the secret of them already carrying the Heart Sphere quiet. When asked why they or someone else couldn't do it, the Dragonborn replied that that item is encased in a box that is warded against anyone carrying it other than a devout worshipper of Sune worthy of carrying the item, and that they cannot convey it as they are required in the town. Calico, not wanting to potentially harm his friends, asks what would happen if someone else touched it which he was informed that the person would be rendered catatonic until the item was taken from that person and healing given. Assured that his friends would be safe, he then asked what the item was, to which the Dragonborn replied that the less they knew, the less they could tell if they were unfortunately captured and questioned along the way. More than happy to aid his fellow bretheren in Sune, Calico accepted the task telling them they would return to collect the item on their way out of the town before leaving to return to the Inn. Before leaving, though, Calico told them of the Cultish practices of the Mayor and told them of all they knew about the Cult and Zaphacism so far. Surprised and concerned that he was unaware of the cult's presence, he thanked Calico for the information and assured them he would follow up on it. On the edge of town, Jett, Catsi, Tados and Lylliannes met with Bartelot at the Encampment where he retrieved uniforms and helms for the four of them. Once donned, they made their way through the town where Bartelot got them through the gates to The Heights and into the Mayor's residence. Inside, the soldier told them they were free to search and see it they can find something that could assist in proving their innocence and heading upstairs they searched the three bedrooms and the second floor reading room. In the reading room, they saw three large floor to ceiling statues of an angelic looking woman; the first statue of her holding out an open book in both hands, the second holding a sickle parallel to her chest in both hands, and the third pointing outward toward a hallway. Following the pointing finger, Jett saw a second spiral staircase leading upward at the end of the hallway and made his way up where he exited into a small square room that was in the spire that extended from the roof. Here he saw a large ball-shaped stone boulder that had a copper band around its central circumference with four copper circles evenly spaced around the band, one at the top, one each side and one on the bottom. There were also two further copper circles at the centre of its open faces and the ball sat in a wide shallow bowl-shaped brass pedestal. As he looked around further he saw that there were four other stone pedestals in each corner of the room, each having the same carved pattern of a diamond over a scroll. While thinking it weird, Jett left the room for the time being and headed back down to continue searching through the house. Back on the second level he headed down the north wing where he saw two further rooms. The first was empty but the second appeared to have been recently used, with the bed untidy and paper and ink on a writing table in the room as well as some books. Looking at the books he saw they were on Ealinor's history and the papers conntained notes taken from the books. Asking Bartelot if he knew whether the Mayor had a person living with them, Bartelot replied that he was not aware and that none of his guards reported that there was a third person. Taking Bartelot to the room he showed the soldier the books Ealinor's history which Bartelot somewhat embarrasingly admitted they had not bothered searching the rooms as they believed they were not used. Deciding to take a more detailed look (INV 20) Jett finds a half written letter under the rug which read: "Been here for just over four weeks now. His Lordship and the Lady appear to be complying with requests; there does not seem to be any indication of going off path from their course. Everything seems to be proceeding as planned, we will..." He gives the letter to Bartelot who immediately leaves to speak with the General. While he is gone, Catsi goes downstairs to the painting to see if she can figure a way to get it to change back to the painting that Jet saw. Looking around the frame and wall, she tries to pull and prod different areas hoping to reveal a switch or lever but nothing presents itself. She notices that while it seems firmly affixed to the wall, there does seem to be a small gap of just a little less than two centimetres between the frame and the wall. Going to the fireplace she saw in the main hall, she grabs a fire poker from the hanger and takes it back to the painting where she tries to wedge the tip of the poker between the frame and wall. With such a small gap she is only just able to get the very tip of the poker in the gap, and when she tries to pull on it, the tip slips out from the gap.  Heading back upstairs she meets up with Jett and the others where the Elf tells them of the upstairs boulder and the symbol on the pedestal. On request, he draws the symbol for Tados who draws on his arcana knowledge where he feels a sense of recognition at the symbol in the back of his mind, but cannot really grasp its meaning. They all head up to see to see the boulder and after looking at it for a while, they conclude that if they turn it so that the circles face a pedestal, it might do something. Using the north facing circle as a point of reference, they turn the boulder clockwise slowly so that each of the copper circles on the side face a pedestal, stopping the north circle at each pedestal and waiting for something to happen. It was not until the north circle faced the north-west pedestal that something finally happened with that pedestal suddenly glowing a faint green light. The other three pedestals quickly followed suit in turn, glowing a faint green light going back around the room to the first pedestal they stopped at which glowed a bright green instead. With the appearance of the glowing light, Catsi quickly ran back down to the painting to see if it has changed. Seeing that it had not, she went up to it and touched it where she felt a slight vibration emanating from it that was not there before. Heading back to the others, Jett told her that he believes that they need to turn the boulder in a specific order. Numbering each pedestal one through to four, one being the pedestal in the north-east corner, two being south-east, three being south-west, and four being north-west. Saying he thinks that they should try 1,3,4,2 as the combination they see that pedestals 1,4,3 glowed brightly but 2 was faint. With a third guess of 1,3,2,4 the pedestals each glowed a bright green and they felt a small tremor through the floor. Heading back downstairs to the Mayor's office they entered to the pleasing sight of the much darker painting that Jett had seen when he stealthily entered the office two days earlier. Putting the key into the keyhole they were rewarded with the hidden passage door sliding back from the wall revealing the hidden room below. Entering the room they saw the large statue at the far end, the torture bed that was not spotlessly clean, the table which was now empty of torture implements, and the table of bottles of liquid. Shortly after they made their way down, they heard Bartelot's voice at the top of the hidden passage calling down. Catsi replied asking him to join them as he entered the room he looked around in wonder before apologising to the group for disbelieving them. Glad that they were able to prove their claims and therefore innocence he told them that he would report to the Commander in the morning and have them relieved of their restrictions. With their innocence proven they head back to the Inn where they rejoin Calico and Bardryn telling them of their success. In return, Calico and Bardryn report what had been discussed at the Cathedral and the task they had taken on behalf of the Sune Priests. With the day complete, the Adventurers proving their innocence, and a new task added; the six head to their beds for the night with the thought of moving to the capital the following day.
