Hello.  I’m just getting back into rpgs having played dnd3e as a teen.  This one looks fun!  Here’s my pitch... A few days ago I awoke groggy, so groggy that I still don’t know my own name, where I am or how I got here.  I’ve wandered for a few days and managed to wash off the dirt and dried blood that I was covered in when I awoke.  I followed a stream to this place and figured I might be able to find something...anything...to eat. While I don’t know my name I am a male human that appears to be in my mid 20s based on my reflection in the stream.  I have nothing except tattered linen pants and a sturdy wooden walking stick with one naturally pointed end.   I’m here to find shelter and hopefully food.   Honestly right now I’d probably do just about anything to figure out who I am and have a decent meal.

Another idea- an evil cult seeking to claim a territory.

Escaped mental patients- who are not insane of ill, but held because they know or say something that they shouldn't.

those are both awesome! the only way to get there is to sail to the edge of the world, find some forgotten portal to it, or by complete mishap (bag of holding placed into portable hole, etc.). Give me you idea and we'll see if we can find you some companions!

of course, flying to the edge of the world is also possible.

Do any of tonight's parties have a slot available? I can make a character sheet extremely fast without lacking character. Sorry about being extremely late, I can play any class/ role anone wants to accompany them or I can make my own based on your party idea.

So, here's an idea a player-candidate posed: "New party idea. Hired by shadow organization to confirm the existence of, document, loot, and report back." I think that's a perfectly acceptable plan. It still needs a little fleshing out though. What shadow organization? How did they get there? (remember, it's beyond the edge of the world, only accessible by sea, air, or magical mishap)

The palace connects to many worlds. You can come from anywhere, including your own homebrew. You're only limited by your imagination.
