reorganize LOTS of entries in journal?

I have a mess in my journal area... I think a number of monsters were pulled in from some modules but I now have like 80 monsters in the "top level" of my journal tab...   I want to have things organized by folders.  Is there a quick way to sort things into folders?  Something like the popup boxes that open up in the library tab where I can reorganize multiple things at once....   the directory "popup" thing doesn't work in the journals tab.. So, how would you get 50-odd entries on the top level of your journal into two or three seperate folders...?
To my knowledge the Journal is sore spot with organization as there are no easy ways to organize quickly unless you started from the beginning. Others might have some suggestion the only thing I can think of since you have a pro account is to make backup copy of the game. Then what you could do is is delete what you do not need from the journal. Then create the folder structure you  need or want. Then use the transmogrifier to copy the characters, handouts and organize them as you go along in small batches. Otherwise you would just have create the folders you need and then move the journal items over to those folders.

Bleh. I feel your pain. I sometimes use carrier folders, moving journals a shorter distance helps, then move the folder of characters where you need it. Also, I strongly suggest using something like Stylus and this style:  Tighter Sidebar Lists , posted on this thread:  Show Off Your Style 2: The Stylening! Here is a before and after:
