How do I copyright modules to sell

Good Afternoon Everyone I posted here about 9 months ago (doesn't time fly when you're locked down) and received some great help re: how to create modules for sale on the Roll20 marketplace. I've now got my module pretty well finished. Here's a question, do I need to copyright my own work (IE: the module itself, including the maps I've created), and if so does anyone have any advice as to how I go about this? I'm UK based if that has any relevance. Thanks Richard
Hi Richard In the USA, if you create an original work, it's yours under copyright law, and you can distribute and sell it just by being the creator. It looks similar in the UK - https://www.alcs.co.uk/copyright-basics-for-writers and international treaties support recognition of copyrighted work from countries, so you should be good there. There are a number of generic resources for new authors like writers advocacy groups where you can get good answers to more detailed questions about ownership. If you're going to charge for your product, you'll also need to consider possible taxes on that as income. Hope that thelps!
Thanks Josh, that's very helpful.

You do not need to do anything. It's yours. Posting it will timestamp it and prove it is yours if there was ever trouble. Sign it if you want. Watermark it if you want. It's much more important to track your income and expenses for tax purposes.
