Are we planning to return later when we have more people?   Lo Shan: I am anyys   Lord Cromther: yeah   Dungeon Master (GM): maybe see what else is in these area before deciding on a combat   Garm: Okay. Understood.   Dungeon Master (GM): there are a couple of gnoll guards that you see   Lo Shan The Human Monk (Oriental) Says, "Why are you guarding th place? What is it?"   Gnoll #01 -TA The Gnoll Fighter Says, "If you wish to visit this part of Thracia, you must have a special pass to proceed inside."   Lo Shan The Human Monk (Oriental) Says, "Who do we get the special pass from?"   Camlin The Half-Elf Ranger Says, "where do we get a pass"   Gnoll #01 -TA The Gnoll Fighter Says, "I am not at liberty to tell you. But you need it if you wish to visit the lower part of the city."   Lord Cromther: I will be back as soon as I can need to deal with work call   Dungeon Master (GM): ok   Lo Shan: (Go around to the otheer side see if there are guards there)   Dungeon Master (GM): alright   Lo Shan The Human Monk (Oriental) Says, "May we go inside?"
Gnoll #01 -TA The Gnoll Fighter Says, "Let me see your pass, then you may proceed."   Lo Shan The Human Monk (Oriental) Says, "Where do we get a pass from?"     Gnoll #01 -TA The Gnoll Fighter Says, "I cannot tell you."   Dungeon Master (GM): you can proceed to the south end of the place   Lo Shan The Human Monk (Oriental) Says, "May we go inside?"   Dungeon Master (GM): there are actually 2 bugbear guards there   Bugbear #37-40 -T1 The Bugbear Says, "You need a pass to visit the lower part of Thracia!"   Lo Shan The Human Monk (Oriental) Says, "Where do we go to get a pass?"   Dungeon Master (GM): [You could try to clear the map of baddies, however, I sure don't have a Thracia map ready yet!]   Bugbear #37-40 -T1 The Bugbear Says, "I am afraid I can not tell you, but you would not get in unless you are known."   [So basically you see this place is heavily guarded because it apparently leads to another part of the city.]   Lo Shan: Lets go to T5 then   Dungeon Master (GM): ok   Lo Shan: Check the doors   Dungeon Master (GM): ok, it is unlocked   Lo Shan: open it   Dungeon Master (GM): you see a long hallway with a spiral staircase in the middle and current 2 doors on the north wall and 2 on the south in this western half of the building   Lo Shan: Stairs go up/ Doen? Down?   Dungeon Master (GM): up   Lo Shan the Human Superior Master, strains his/her ears in an attempt to HEAR what he/she should not! Result Whispered to DM   (From Lo Shan):  HEAR NOISE Roll:  22 % Needs ≤  35 %   Dungeon Master (GM): ok, at the west door of the north wall Lo Shan did not hear anything   Lo Shan: open them if not locked   Dungeon Master (GM): it is locked!   Lo Shan the Human Superior Master, attempts to gain entry, by PICKING OPEN a LOCK! Result Whispered to DM   (From Lo Shan):  OPEN LOCKS Roll:  30 % Needs ≤  62 %   Dungeon Master (GM): Lo Shan quietly picks open the lock!   Lo Shan: open the door   Dungeon Master (GM): peeking inside you see a lone Yuan-ti pureblood and the place looks extra fancy here. 61 he does not notice you are peeking inside   Lo Shan: close the door check the other doors   Dungeon Master (GM): 50% is on o the bed:  46   Lo Shan: doors locked?   Dungeon Master (GM): yes   Lo Shan The Human Monk (Oriental) Says, "Seems we may have found yuan ti homes"   Lo Shan the Human Superior Master, attempts to gain entry, by PICKING OPEN a LOCK! Result Whispered to DM     (From Lo Shan):  OPEN LOCKS Roll:  38 % Needs ≤  62 %   Dungeon Master (GM): Lo Shan quietly picks open the lock!   Lo Shan: peek inside   Dungeon Master (GM): another fancy apartment 87 he noticed his door being opened hmm, can't use the speech box on him, weird   Lo Shan The Human Monk (Oriental) Says, "Guess we go robbing the rich, everyone ready?"   Lord Cromther: sorry they still have me on the phone
Dungeon Master (GM): YT PB says, "Hey now! I wasn't expecting any visitors! You could knock as a courtesy you know!"   Lo Shan: opens door   Lo Shan The Human Monk (Oriental) Says, "We are looking for one named Loric, sorry to bother you"   Dungeon Master (GM): says, "Now, I thought, I had the door locked, but I guess not? What do you want with me?! says, "I know no one by that name here or in the city, for that matter!"   Lo Shan: Turns to Garm whispers "Lone yuan ti in nice homes, nows our chance you think?"   Garm shrugs.   Garm: "I will follow your lead."   Lo Shan The Human Monk (Oriental) Says, "Ridding the place of evil doers, lets go"   Dungeon Master (GM): says, "Unless you have some sort of business offer I ask you to leave me be!"   Lo Shan The Human Monk (Oriental) Says, "A business offer, Yes, Give us your money and valuables, and we'll let you live"   Dungeon Master (GM): YT PB says, "Otherwise, be gone fools!" with that it suddenly becomes dark in front of the door.     Yuan-Ti PureBlood #05 -T5, using unholy water, casts the DARKNESS Spell upon Yuan-Ti PureBlood #05 -T5! Level 1 Cleric * (Alteration) Reversible Components V,S Casting Time 4 segments Range 120 ft indoors;  120  yards outdoors Duration .5 turns + .5 turn/level;  0.5  turns Area of Effect 20 ft radius globe Saving Throw None Effects:  This spell causes relaxation of molecules so as to make them not emit light wavelengths. The Darkness's sphere is limited to  40 ft in diameter. It lasts for the duration indicated or until the caster utters a word to extinguish the Darkness. If this spell is cast upon a creature, the applicable magic resistance and saving throw dice rolls must be made. Success indicates that the spell affects the area immediately behind the creature, rather than the creature itself. In all other cases, the spell takes effect where the caster directs as long as he or she has a line of sight or unobstructed path for the spell; Darkness can spring from air, rock, metal, wood, or almost any similar substance. Any normal light source or magical light source of lesser intensity than full daylight does not function in magical darkness. ok in his case it's a 15 ft diameter square   Lo Shan The Human Monk (Oriental) Says, "Hey Xili, come and cast that fireball"   Garm whispers harshly, "Why did you offer him his life? If we are here to kill these evil doers there can be no bargaining."   Lo Shan: Xilicien hopefully will take fireball   Dungeon Master (GM): YT PB hollers, "Now be gone! Or I will alert the others!"   Dungeon Master (GM): up to you guys if you want to fight tonight or wait until the other two can make it so you have a chance to back out now.   Xilicien the Enchanter, casts the DISPEL MAGIC Spell! Level 3 Magic-User * Abjuration Priest Sphere: Universal Components V,S Casting Time 3  Segments Range 120 ft /  120  yds outdoors Duration Permanent Area of Effect 30 ft cube Saving Throw None Effects:  When cast this spell neutralizes or negates the magic it comes in contact with as follows: First, it removes spells and spell-like effects (including device effects and innate abilities) from creatures or objects. A dispel magic will not affect a specially enchanted item such as a scroll, magic ring, wand, rod, staff, miscellaneous magic item, magic weapon, magic shield, or magic armor. (2E: Unless it is cast directly upon the item.) ====== 2E Addendum: This renders the item nonoperational for 1d4 rounds. An item possessed and carried by a creature gains the creature’s saving throw against this effect; otherwise, it is automatically rendered nonoperational. An inter-dimensional interface (such as a bag of holding) rendered nonoperational would be temporarily closed. Note that an item’s physical properties are unchanged: A nonoperational magical sword is still a sword. Artifacts and relics are not subject to this spell; however, some of their spell-like effects may be, at the DM’s option. ====== Second, it disrupts the casting or use of these in the area of effect at the instant the dispel is cast. Third, it destroys magical potions (which are treated as 12th level for purposes of this spell). Each effect or potion in the spell’s area is checked to determine if it is dispelled. It removes spells cast upon persons or objects, or counter the casting of spells in the area of effect. The caster can always dispel his own magic; The base chance for success of a dispel magic spell is 50% on 1D100 (2E: or 11 or higher on 1d20 to dispel). For every level of experience of the character casting the dispel magic above that of the creature whose magic is to be dispelled (or above the efficiency level of the object from which the magic is issuing), the base chance increases by 5%, so that if there are 10 levels of difference, there is a 100% chance. For every level below the experience/efficiency level of the creature/object, the base chance is reduced by 2%. Note that this spell can be very effective when used upon charmed and similarly beguiled creatures. It is automatic in negating the spell caster’s own magic. on the darkness and then I guess we can call it   Dungeon Master (GM): YT PB says, "What the fuck! So I see I am dealing not with simpletons here!"   Lo Shan: Maybe next week Devin and Buddy can make it   Dungeon Master (GM): the door behind you all opens 2nd YT PB says, "What is going on here and who are you people!"   Garm glares at Lo Shan.   Xilicien The Elven Magic-User Says, "We're here to clean this place up, you’re all gonna die"   (To GM): YT HB SPELLS: Once a Day:  Cause Fear   Darkness 15' radius   Neutralize Poison   Polymorph Other   Snake Charm   Sticks to Snakes   Suggestion YT-HB Spells from 3E:  Animal Trance   Cause Fear   Deeper Darkness   Detect Poison   Entangle #C1-CAUSEFEAR-1E2E hmm, spell not working it is ment for Lo Shan
Lo Shan: Guess we end it here you fix the macros and we hope more show up   Dungeon Master (GM): yea we can do that if you both want to   Garm: "We need a new leader."   Dungeon Master (GM): I am guessing if it not the macro is is something to do with the token being a child of a main sheet   Garm: We should have killed that dude before we ever opened another door.   Dungeon Master (GM): which was why I went back to using individual sheets for every monster when i did   Lo Shan: "Why? He will die and I'm not bound to spare his life now"   Dungeon Master (GM): but then i switched back to using one sheet to represent multiple monsters which saves on your computer memory   Garm: No. If you are here to kill these cretins then you don't need an excuse.   Dungeon Master (GM): the other two doors now open   Garm: Now we are fighting all of them when we should have snuffed them one at a time.   Dungeon Master (GM): They says, "What's going on?! Why all the noise?!" "Oh Looks like we got company", Hollering out loud, "The Rest of you get out here, we have company!"   Lo Shan: He set off an alarm we would have had to fight more then one anyways   Garm: I don't know if that's true or not. My point is no talking to these mofos going forward. Open the door and kill them.   Lo Shan: Fair enough   Dungeon Master (GM): Other Yuan-Ti on the other side of stairwell, join the conversations out in the hall now!   Garm: Initiaative? Or are we calling it here?   Dungeon Master (GM): YT PB, "Well, what do you know, looks like we got ourselves the City's troublemakers" Ok, if you two don't mind going into combat now, we can or we just put it off until next week!   Lo Shan: next week hopefully more show up   Garm: Okay.   Dungeon Master (GM): ok then, So we stop and I will see you guys next week! Thanks for playing tonight!   Lo Shan: CYA   Dungeon Master (GM): bye guys!   Garm: Aright then! Thanks for running. Thanks for attending Lo and LT. LC...
