Basically I want to run a Only War (40k rpg) campaign for some friends of mine but it's usually difficult to get the maps together to run the game (because i suck and am lazy). what would the best course of action be? adding things to a map is ok and running combat is easy it's just the sitting down and making a map i find i don't have much time for

Here's one for free: https://www.dropbox.com/s/z3aig2djo4nk9p8/facility... I have an entire set for sale on the Marketplace, just for 40K games: https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/set/313/generic-grimdark-sci-fi-tile-set

Well, you have options Learn to make maps. Cartographers Guide is a great resource for this. you could also get your players involved. Find pre-made maps Free ones Pay ones (the market place, drive thru RPG, etc) Commission some artists to make you some
You all forgot the most important option: 4. Don't give a crap about the results and don't put any effort or time into it. The quality of maps doesn't have to influence the fun people have. Here an old abandoned temple for my D&D campaign: Click this link And of course: 5. Don't use maps. This option doesn't work for everyone, but it's how I initially envisioned my campaign (Turned out that too much explanation was needed, so I resorted to these ... "drawings")

being based on 40k, I assume it's fairly tactical. But you're right Lee, it doesn't have to be any more complicated than necessary to convey the game to your players. Most of my gaming life, we never had a board, and when we did, it was often a dry erase board, or just a sheet of paper we sketched details on. That said, I think a nice map can really bring a game to life, but I wouldn't let the lack of a map prevent me from gaming. in my SpyCraft campaign, just used thematic backgrounds (most recently, a travel map of Prague matted against a nice texture and surrounded by photographs of various attractions around town. Made for a nice backdrop and didn't slow the action down.
most of my offline campaigns have been on dry erase board. I just feel like when you are doing an online campaign you almost need a better representation on whats happening

pyromancers dungeon maker http://pyromancers.com/ its a web app very good for making maps its a bit of a hell with its layers but you get used to. my advice is to only use it for floors and walls and use roll20 to place chairs and other objects. this is a 3 levels ship i made for a session. http://imgur.com/izNfrJQ
on a different not anyone know where i could get tokens that work for only war? like troopers ogryn and a chimera troop transport (doesn't need to be perfect just work)
