Lighting - to convert or not to convert?

I'm running Cos for 5e using the roll20 module and am currently using the legacy lighting system. I got the email about legacy being retired fairly soon and was thinking about using the conversion toll to switch the entire module over. Has anyone done this already and, if so, did it screw anything up for you?
Yeah, there are lots of people having lots of problems... there is a forum topic just for that: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9741240/udl-1-dot-0-updates-bugs-and-feedback

You should make a copy of your game, and then convert the copy. Then you can play with the settings in the copy, run sessions in it, but still have your original to go back to if needed.
